@ilovewilly The ones I have seem to be able to wrap around the bar okay. I just removed the 3 bar slider and did a test wrap. Will get the correct slider bars and then pop them in. Having seen a couple of different fits of the lap belts I'll get the seats in, position them up and only then get...
after owning all of the options you're considering I'd say the 172 cup is the best car to turn into a track car. Half of the work is already done for you and if you want to put a 182 manifold on it it's easy.
Lighter glass, majority of the tar isn't there in the first place, lighter heater set...
Within 2 seconds ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-CLIO-EPS-ELECTRIC-POWER-STEERING-COLUMN-LOWER-UNIVERSAL-JOINT-UJ-/311255857220?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item48784b7844
When I used to work for an insurance company we used to care a lot about wraps as when there was damage it caused complaints when we didn't pay for rewrapping a panel.
shame about the spanner! That is the beauty of halfords tools though, just can't beat that guarantee for the price.
Such a cheap track evening!! want that here please
My 182 used to sit just a touch above centre on the temp gauge when warmed up properly. Next time I'm down your way I'll plug it into clip for you if you want.
With the stealth exhaust I think the exhaust noise comes back from the road and into the car a lot more. I am however going to only have the rear silencer when it comes to it ;) Headaches on a day to day drive suck but they do go after a few months I promise honestly.
I like to think the rasp...
Unplug the regulator and test the voltage going into the motor. If that's okay then could be the reg.
Cheers Mike. Good for doing keys defo.
Quick comment for the other guy. I've never used a mechanic in my life for any of the issues I've had with my various cars so am totally self taught at...
I thought that was the only way Mike! You can't relearn and old one though is my understanding.
Sounds like it matey. The windows work by reversing the polarity to the regulator so it sounds like that isn't working properly. odd!
meh
If you can teach us how to relearn a second hand module that would be very helpful to a lot of people, me included.
Regardless. It would be cheaper for this chap to buy a replacement kit if the UCH were to blame. You can just reconfigure the UCH for the various functions of the car...
Not to tread on toes but my friend does detailing and covers that area if it's any help and the above guys can't make it https://www.facebook.com/DetailDriven2014/timeline
@Doobury ^that's not right. You have to get a matching set; ecu, key fob, decoder ring and uch. A UCH can only learn if it's vigin. Don't worry about the part number so much but make sure it's whatever comes out of yours in terms of the "N" specification. If your car has a rain sensor it will...
I have to say this is a really weird part to go and I've never heard of it going. Any ph2 electric power steering column will fit. You won't be able to remove the bottom half until you've undone the pinch bolt on the steering rack.
FBW is a winners combination! You could probably sell your TB and pedal set up to actually make this conversion pay you then ;) Promise I'm not trying to convince you this is the thing to do.
Whatever you do though it's going to be cool.
Just you wait....I have plans for the exhaust which hopefully will come to fruition this weekend.
I thought the same with the earth. An earth is an earth right :S
Today I made use of the sun and started to strip out the dash. I've decided to keep the heater box in the car as I think some functionality of a car will be useful one day!
Whilst doing this job I noticed a few difference between the cup and the normal clios which I hadn't heard of before. The...
A solid light could be caused my a couple of things. If the Earth strap on the gearbox is loose. It's behind the n/s wheel so check that.
The other one I come across is a faulty relay in the engine fuse box. Again on the n/s in the engine bay. Look in the fuse box, there are two/three small...
Check the offset. I know it's different but 172 wheels dont fit on a non sport without being spacered and I'm sure you wouldn't want to run into that trouble.
for ref
172 alloys et 48.5

I did some track time in a golf v5 ones. I sailed around in absolute comfort.
Do some 20 minute sessions first as it's an easy way to have fun without hammering your car.
