Hi all
What are the rules and regulations concerning the position of a tax disc?
I recently bought an aluminium tax disc holder which refuses to stick to my windscreen. Rather than bin it and waste £15, I've applied bluetack (classy stuff) to the back and stuck it to the dash board.
It...
If your car was parked in, wrapped, sealed, or whatever the correct term is for using that last example, it would look like a police crime scene investigation is taking place in your drive way. Some chavey little kids could have fun with a penknife though.
This car versus that car is a pointless, but fun argument.
Anyone see that episode of Top Gear where that female driver from the Nurburgring thrashed a Ford Transit van around it quicker than all the Ferrari and 911 drivers out on their hot laps. Any driver who can go beyond what us mere...
lol
Yeah, mine was pretty bad. Brakes were life-threatingly poor, sun roof doubled up as a power shower, brakes squeeled like a pig - I was sad when it got nicked - until the insurence company paid out in full.
Never ended up in the passenger seat though - I guess you didn't have your seat...
This one on Halfrauds looks alright for the price

I wouln't pay £300 simply because someone else could easily steal it. Why can't people just stop stealing stuff and the world would be a happier place.
Thanks for your opinion; still in two minds but it would keep the paintwork clean and hopefully protect it against stone chips from passing vehicles.
What counts as a decent quality one though? Halfrauds do there own make at around £35 quid.
Perhaps I should just buy a large tent and park...
Does anyone here use a car cover? I only use my car at the weekends and get fed up with washing, polishing, sealing and waxing on a Sunday only for it to piss down during the week and ruin all my handy work. I don't have a garage to park in and thought about getting a car cover for protection...
I know that battery connector's are made of really cheap material on all Renault's and after a while fail to conduct properly. This normally results in three - four failed starts over a period of anything between 2 - 10 minutes, possibly longer before the car will start. My neighbour's Clio is...
There was a story once about this chap (a Sierra Cosworth owner I think)who was so fed up with people attempting to steal his car that he wired up his battery so that anyone who touched the bodywork got a nasty electric shock. Turn's out some car thief managed to successfully sue him for...
I've been pondering lowering my car for some time now and have finally decided not to on the following grounds:
I live in London where the road surface resembles a Baghdad high street after a B52 carpet bombing orgy. Also, the drop in ride height would mean having to let passengers out of the...
I phoned Renault (Orpington) today about the costs of a replacement key. They quoted me £90 to cut the key and £60 to programme it - £150 in total. Hardly the bargain of the century, but needs must.
Since I purchased an uber water-soaking/removal waffle, I find myself popping out after every rainfall to remove the water from my car. My girfriend just laughs.
