has the worn shells worn the crank??if so u may have to have the crank ground slightly and oversized shells possiby but dont quote me on that as depends on the extent of the damage to the crank
majority of us just use a parts cleaning tank which is just a solvent de greaser works a treat and you can clean any thing with it!!i clean out turbo boost pipes with it all the time and the cars dont take off lol so it wont do any harm

not entirely true is do able with the engine in and its even tighter with that same engine in a espace did a turbo on 1them and a laguna wit the same engine just take the o/s driveshaft out and all the supporting brackets its tight but can be done
it unlocked the other day turned the ignition on then nothing have tested the battery etc all ok, im getting 12v to starter and fuse box in engine bay but no dash lights interior lights or any electrics for that matter except that red led by gear stick is permanently lit until ignition is turned...
if its infared signal put the keys led pointing at your mobile phone camera whiles its switched on and you will be able to c if ur key is sending a signal thats a start as it might just need a new key
