don't bother buying an alarm, whats the point, they will still smash your window if they think there is something in their, and they may run off if the alarm is sounding they may not, but you will still end up with a smashed window, so u might as well, just remove the glovebox door/lid whatever...

take it off, and spray some of that filter cleanners spray stuff on it, and leave it overnight to soak in / clean not sure how, but if u search the web it';ll tell u how, i think u can also clean it with a light coat of wd40, to stop the foam drying out and being sucked into the engine, nasty !!!
