These really are very planted motors when sending it on - not quick by any stretch but then they are fairly lardy over the Mk2’s. Plan is to get the gearbox out and inspected with the synchros all replaced if thats what it needs - a very slight grind between 3rd-4th higher up the rev range...

This is quite honestly the most petrol head behaviour i’ve ever seen. Its in no way desirable but your commitment to force the c**t to do as it was intended is absolutely incredible. 9/10 will continue to watch the financial turmoil.
