Right! fairly big update here id say! all started last saturday when i pulled out the drive and it went bang...so new gearbox it is! ill start from the start ;)

looks awesome mate. been following the thread a while :) i had my subframe out at the weekend putting powerflex bushes in, ill second that the rear ones are a ball ache! this will be epic when its done :cool: looking forward to the end result :D
Had a search and nothing really turned up. but was just wondering where the codes for the gearbox would be stamped on the castings? ph1 is JC5 130? theres a megane coupe 2.0 ldi or something at the scrappy and didnt know if the box would be the same or not! any helps appreciated!

Hi guys, im putting in another gearbox and was going to change the clutch at the same time just so its done. didn't know if it would be worth replacing with a standerd part or whether to try get an uprated one?
was looking at this but unsure...
have a look through my low pikey build thread i think i had pics of it somewhere. and was a small switch next to the ash tray, wiring it into the rear wiper switch would probbaly be a ball ache if you dont know much about how the wiring works lol but defo worth de-locking it a it looks so much...

just fitted some new pads and got it all stripped, pulled out the drive with a massive bang and some clunking. crunches like anything now when driving! so tomorrow will be spent dropping engine / box out to find the problem :( absolutely gutted!
Right. was changing the rear pads so had in it gear jacked up the rear. when it was done dropped it down and went to pull out my drive, so nearly full left lock went to pull away and a big bang. still drove but was clunking (like a cv joint was fubard) stopped on the road checked there wasnt...
