Well, we'll see. I can't do anything until December now as that's when I'll next have time off mid-week, which is also when they are technically due on the 5 year time scale.
If the car has been good to me until then, I'll reconsider :)
It's if something else goes aswell though, say I do the belts, then the gearbox goes. Or the starting problem returns which could be as simple as a bad earth or a faulty UCH from the symptoms I had. It'd be uneconomical to repair it as they are jobs I can't do myself and I'd be breaking it...
Best part of £500 with the dephaser which you might aswell do at the same time. I'm really pikey :o
I was going to get them done, but a certain ipodsandguns told/persuaded me not to ;)
Nope, not left Yorkshire yet.
A tiny update:
I had a little problem with the cup not starting, but since it fixed itself it has been faultless. Had to replace a rear light bulb holder/cluster due to a bad earth which has sorted my indicator problems (rear fog was coming on with the...

CAS in Bradford were pretty good for me, £1 an inch so a set of 16's would be £64

My uncle is a pretty good photographer, and it's his birthday next week, so would like to get him a book.
I want a photography book that's not about teaching basics, but something you can pick up and really appreciate the photographs inside, any recommendations?
Clio Trophy has some strong links with this forum ;)
It's quiet because there are only potentially 550 members (less now some are written off), and only a small percentage of any car owners join a forum.
Anyway, this looks a nice little trophy, it's nice having one so high mileage you...
This is pikey, but whack a flat bladed screwdriver under the front of the plenum, then prise it off. Bet it's just a bit stuck on the locating pin at the front.
lol I had the same problem. Someone told me to try that and it fixed it for a couple of starts and then failed again. Changed the starter and it fixed it.
