I'd go for the upper spec MBP retina with the ram upgrade if I was buying today. Really nice machine, should be lightening fast too. Expensive even with student discount at about £2200!

£560 for belts and dephaser, so plus whatever a water pump is. Can't be more than £650 inc the extra labour to fit the pump. But you'd also have Micks skills in diagnosing problems with the car, he seems pretty good at fault finding.

I like them on 16s. I'd get the work done personally, I'd take it to diamond motors though. It's cheaper and they will do a proper check over of the rest of the car for you at the same time.

The 600D's inbuilt trigger not too good then? I think it's IR? So the camera needs to be able to see the front of the flash.

2118s are heavy, much better wheels out their for track use. In order of value I'd say 2118s are similar to trophy turinis, then cup turinis are slightly cheaper and anthracite 182 wheels are worth less again. In time, as more people buy 2118s new and there are more set about they will...

Depends on your use for the car. I went R26 to 182 Trophy. The 182 is cheaper to run for everything (parts/insurance/MPG), and imo it is a more fun car to drive but if I used my car everyday then I would of kept the Megane as it is a much nicer place to sit on a commute. And it's still a...

I didn't see the layout as I didn't go, but when I've been to Donnington it seemed a lot smaller than Rockingham space wise outside the track. The Donnington track is immensely better than Rockingham imo, to drive on that is. It needed to be refreshed though, the location had to change...

Yesss! I'm going to sort out a date before with the main TOPO people to make sure the usuals can attend! Hopefully make it an evening like last years big TOPO so it doesn't clash with work.

A lot of the horror stories originate from bad cambelt changes. Make sure the person doing it can do it, preferably use a specialist.
