That is the guide I followed. The bits I purchased off Amazon for around £10 something. If you look in the YouTube description box it shows what you need.
mince you actually follow the instructions (because it is written that you need the adaptor inserted into the USB port of your laptop before...
Yes, once I realised I had to have the adaptor thing plugged into the computer before I followed the instructions to install the software. The attaching the clip was a nightmare as it does on, but then comes off and then it’s the wrong way round. But once there the instructions the lad created...
Just to update this thread, I managed to follow the instructions and coded RS monitor into my car. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the near £200 to have stagex but glad to have it for £10 and many many attempts.
@Ol’ Tarby!
I’ve managed since my ghost mod to get to 33mpg and that’s driving it mostly sensibly with the occasion hoon. I have noticed that sport mode doesn’t use more fuel strangely.
Yeah I kind of feel thick for writing it now looking at it. Shame though and must be horrible for the employees, I bet a fair few have been there since the start.
hopefully they get bought up though and don’t disappear.
Very sad news. Strange reading this bit though, Westfield Sports Cars had just £25,722 in cash at the end of last year, along with stock worth £2.2 million and debits of £1.76 million. How modes that work? Seems there was more value than debt.
I know people have mated the vw 6 speed gearbox to a 182 (I’m sure) so wonder if a dsg could be adapted? Doubt the clio 4 gearbox would mate to the f4r engine. Anything is possible though.
On the reliability side, the juke nismo uses the same engine and those have been tuned big time in America and have mega miles on them, so hopefully that’s a good sign.
I think they cap the torque to keep the box happy but there is a couple running 320 plus hp. Apparently (I think) the same person who created the hybrid turbo is having some updated clutch plates created.
Fingers crossed the gearbox is made of better stuff than mk3 gearboxes! As above has said they are a getrag box.
only usual or common faults are the bottom radiator hose clip failing and the battery throwing issues when dying.
It’s more than worth the drive up and back mate, I’m about 40 mins away but really wouldn’t have anyone else do anything exhaust wise. Carl knows his stuff and is brilliant. He adds proper flanges to his centre box delete so it doesn’t leak too.
I’ll PM you.
Went to D7R fabrication in Telford who did a ghost mod on my exhaust. Not sure on the actual specifics of what he does, but it has changed the car. Deeper tone and louder when putting your foot down, but liveable day to day! Sounds like an animal now.
No it’s ok. I’m going to give them a try at the weekend. I’ve looked and ‘don’t think’ I’ll have to remove the bottom strut bolt so might be ok. I can only try!
Fitted a cup spoiler to her yesterday, not the large one but the smaller one, which I think suits it nicely and finishes off the rear end imo. Very happy with it.
