Compared to the rival cars around the same age, polo gti, 208 gti, fiesta st etc the Clio has more room, especially compared to the polo which is the only 5 door.
It is a little fiddly and rather unnerving connecting up the clip to the module, but after that it’s pretty easy. Just take your time typing in the code and all will be good. It’s a novelty but worth having for intake temps etc.
@Colin b @Sash I’ve managed to code it in to mine which didn’t have it originally. It works 99% flawlessly! If I can do it anyone can.
This video shows you how to do it, what you need to buy from Amazon or similar and the codes are in the file download in the description.
I have kids and a 200t. I find it pretty good for space, my kids have room in the back and although it’s not massive, it’s certainly bigger than other small cars (polos and fiestas etc)
Economy isn’t great, I get 32 average day to day and on a longer run can get more. Definitely a fun car to...
Drove one of these the other day, like yours it was the s model. Really impressed with the way it got going! Be nice for pottering about, but didn’t think the seats felt very comfortable?
Very nice! The boot lid is correct as it has the trim at the bottom but the spoiler is a non sport spoiler. It probably had a large cup racer spoiler on it at some point. The spoiler that should be on there is longer and has the side panels built in.
Wheels are phase 2 wheels though which is a...
There is a 220 being broken on eBay, in fact there are two. It would be worth contacting Renault parts direct with the part number though to see how much they are new.
These do very little for me but that is gorgeous!! I had a drive once many years ago on a car park and went over a curb and hedge and thought I was an explorer!
Amazing work as always!! Car looks amazing. What kind of care is needed for the coating to last 3 years? Does it need maintenance? Wish I was richer and closer because you could get my black 200 looking perfect!
Thank you, I’ll definately bear you in mind. I’ve not long renewed my insurance to be honest as I couldn’t be doing with the hassle of calling insurers but if I choose to remap I might have to!
Fingers crossed. I know the same engine in the jukes have very few problems and many have been tuned much higher than the Clio’s. Ricardo’s clio has a hybrid turbo and has for many miles. It’s just nice to know what issues could arise.
Just out of interest sash, what was the cost of the replacement tcm? I was under the impression and hoping that these cars were pretty bomb proof apart from the battery issues, this is something to keep an eye on!
glad your getting yours sorted and hopefully it’s the last of the problems for you!
I absolutely love these. I had a drive in one and it was awesome but my budget at the time only got me an early one with the cave engine (or the other way round!) I think it was but the later ones were revised to stop the oil usage issue. Such a cool design with both a turbo and supercharger...
I’m not sure where you are, but this was a recall by Renault due to the spoiler coming undone. It might be worth checking if the recall has been done (even though it’s years ago) you might be able to get help with the replacement of it hasn’t. definately worth a shot!
Apart from that it’s going...
@Dameo220 fwiw I fitted an open cone on and like the poster above, removed it after about 5 miles. It was fun for about a minute but the induction noise was so loud and it was embarrassing! I’ve had my exhaust modded by D7R fabrication in Telford who are amazing and that is all for now. To be...
So I’ve fitted some trophy alloys as I think the diamond cut actually looks good. I painted my rear diffuser black and waiting to be able to do the front blade black too. Also fitted the maxton splitter on the front. Really happy with how it looks now.
not today, but I’ve painted my rear diffuser black and also programmed RS monitor into my car. It’s a gimmick and I’m glad I haven’t paid £175+ for someone else to do it, but it’s nice to have especially for reading boost pressure, temperatures etc.
