I had these in a 19 on my BMW 330ci. They came with the wheel package. I have to say I was impressed and surprised with them. For a budget tyre they are very good. I'd ran Michelin PS2's on the car before getting the 19's. These tyres handled nearly as well in the dry, but didn't really inspire...
They are s**t. Renault must not have realised that a 2.0l engine weighs more than a 1.2. Mine did the same, hammered them out again, but as soon as the jack went near them they were as bad as ever!
Not sure if the oil change will help, but worth a shot. The sump and box plugs are the same (8mm Square) You can pick 1 up from hellfrauds. As for filling, it's the winged plug on the side of the box. Fill up till it starts to trickle out!
That looks nasty! Did you check the caliper to make sure the piston move freely? The ferrodo pads are good, but are more for track use than normal driving. I set of standard ferrodo pads from a local motorfactors will be great for normal driving, and should be overly expensive!
Are the warning lights etc on the dash lighting when you turn the key to position 2 (ie. before you start it). It sounds like the battery is fubarred! Can you jump/bump start it?
We have decided to have the stand under the Renaultsport NI forum as there is a selection of Meggys and Clios going on the stand.
For those of you who aren't familiar visit http://www.renaultsport-ni.co.uk for details.
Hopefully they'll find the fault. Just make sure they only charge you for what the fault was tho. I wouldn't pay for a load of work that didn't need done!
Get it back down to them and ask them to sort it! Does the car have a decat or anything? I'd be also asking for my money back, cause they clearly aint fixed it! Did you pay by cheque? If so stop the cheque!
I hope you didn't pay the £500 if they haven't fixed the fault? My megane 225 throws the emissions light (it flashes for a while) about once a month then goes away, but there is never a fault stored.
Re: Why are insurances closed at s**t times!
Ring them and ask will there be a charge if you do. They're not open for you to do it on Sunday, so you may find they'll waive the fee if there is any!
Re: Why are insurances closed at s**t times!
You want the car on for Sunday? So ring them now and ask her to put it on for this Sunday from around the time you will be getting the car. Some companies will even allow you to have a car added for a test drive, mine did when I bought my 225 and...
Re: Why are insurances closed at s**t times!
What age are you? Can you not use day insure or a similar insurance company to insure you for the day? Or just ring now and put the new car on your insurance for Sunday. Then if you end up not buying it just take it off again?
Red springs as said could be sportlines, but could also be PI (I think it stands for Personal Injury). 2 shocks from the dealers are around £40 each and new springs all round will be around £150 from dealers. Best to go for the Eibach Pro springs, they don't really lower the ride hide from...
