and just to add, ive never seen anyone burn through paint in the middle of panels with a rotary.
only burn throughs ive seen have been on edges of doors, tops of bumpers etc
if youre spraying inside the wheels too, id say about 1 can of colour per wheel, might use a bit less than a can.
same with laquer, about a can a wheel maybe less.
primer, you should be able to do all 4 wheels with 1 can, 2 if you really wanna buy 2, but you;ll only need to primer the face of...
the paint would come off with a quick wipe of thinners then a polish afterwards.
thats what id try first
failing that, quick wetflat then a mop with g3
it will be fine aslong as you prep them well before primer and prep the primer well before basecoat.
ideally you should use it or scan seal, but it aint 100% essential aslong as the prep is good
whats that hole on the top? is there a torx bit in there? (star shaped bolt)
if not, the trim will need to be took off, catch realligned and tightened and the trim put back on.
take it to a friend or something if you aint confident to do it, maybe your dad?
if you dont line it up properly and...
but theyre being fully honest?
they can grind it out, fibreglass and fill it, or they can re-metal it (cut out sections), just sounded like you was implying that they was lying somewhere, whereas they are being 100% honest from what i can see
yup, its right, unless you actually cut sections of the arch out and weld new sections in, its only a matter of time before they start to rust again.
mk 1 arches am notorious for it, as im sure you know.
100 each side is a very good price tbh if theyre painting the whole quarters and not just...
could just be a bad picture, but at a guess, if it aint, id say the bottom of your quarters been repaired and edge to edge painted
could just be the picture, but it looks very off tbh
that'll crack tbh
need a solid base for fibreglass or itll flex too much, especially on a plastic front bumper
hope it dont crack for ya, but i put money it will
if the laquer is good then you can either give it a grey scotchbrite all over or give it a wetflat with P800/P1000 or P1200.
if the finish isnt good and its damaged/scratched, id sand it with P320 dry, sand out any scratches/chips, then primer it, either all over if theres damage pretty much...
yea, id sand it down so its all dull, then give it a wetflat with like P800/P1000 or P1200, this just smooths them that bit more and takes away any furring. then give them a few good coats of primer and leave them overnight to sink into the plastic. wetflat that and give them another couple of...
ah, gonna say, etch is for metal, it becomes one with the metal, like becomes part of it, unlike normal primer which just covers in coats and lays on top.
i remember it from college years ago in one of my tests "etch primer bonds with the metal in a lock and key mechanism meaning it cannot be...
you wanna say to him, look ive asked for opinions from people and most are saying the bars need updating as they drag the site down and give it an amateur feel. which is not a good thing for someone whos promoting 2x wedding photographer of the year
