Go to a specialist instead, fred @ BTM is near you. Will be cheaper, and the work will most likely be to a higher standard than a dealer.

Bet it would be a right job to make it nice again after removing the spoiler. Still, you'd recoup some of the costs of paint and possible filler by selling the spoiler. I like the small lip on the top of the hatch standard UK cars got. The imports without it look unfinished.
