My dad and i are thinking of a track car project, we have a clio 1.2 shell left form when we broke the car, would it be worth doing a 172 engine conversion or just scrap it and buy a tatty 172 for around £1k?

Just finished now & will keep it for 2 months until im 19 and can insure a 197 ;) Not spent a lot of money on it really just cheap effective mods £500 on wheels £80 on lowering £200 exhaust Then a bit of colour coding and tidying & done :) Here is a few pics with some mates after a cleaning...

Heading down the m42 just past the tamworth turn off, Saw a 172 in blue which was lowered quite a lot i would say 60mm, it had an aftermarket exhaust, looked amazing one of the best i have seen but i bet the rides bad!, I didnt have chance to get a good look because you were going about 40 down...

Im currently breaking a clio and as expected some of the bolts are rusty, the two bolts on one side of the bonnet have snapped leaving the thread in the hole, whats the best way to remove them?, i dont think i could get mole grips on them? any ideas are much appreciated ;)
