I'm sure there is no performance difference in the d-shafts, wishbones (apart from maybe a bit of castor), hubs (except wider track >10mm). I believe the performance difference came from the suspension shocks and springs themselves, which your changing to coilovers anyway so I'd say it wouldn't...

It really is simple and worth doing. I hade sure it sits on the radiator (I think) and not on the coolant pipes that run underneath. (Don't have the illusive rubber band original holder).

Also worth mentioning is that mintex rear discs come with bearings and abs rings too and are considerably cheaper than above with pads, I reckon you could do it all for about £120. Front and rear discs and pads.
