it could be your brake light switch as that's a circuit, but it could also be a dodgy sensor somewhere I guess.
Could it be something on one of the rings causing a break in the circuit?

Have the belts recently been done? Mainly because when I bought my car i had the normal whine, and since having new belts and tensioners I have a louder whine which I am thinking is the ps pump on its way, probably due to the new tension etc. just a thought. Mine sounds like a mini.

In the way that it'd be done by a complete novice and would be helpful for complete novices that don't have access to all the equipment but want something good that gives good results. :)
I saw a clio today with primer in the same place and though how odd it was, didn't expect them to rust for some reason.
I echo the above though, need to sort what's causing it.
I am pretty certain they are all the same seats just trimmed in different material. (172,cup,1.2/4/6) except for the rear as iirc the cup only had 2 seats in the back as opposed to 3 in other clios.
