Okay i will have to see if the bolts i had on will still be enough to handle the 8mm outwards..
sorry for me dirty-ing up your topic , thanks for the advice/answers.
the runners on the "RS" manifolds are wider all the way through and when the non "RS" manifolds are matched the bend in the runner is still small/more narrow than the one on a RS one..
Yep. Na it is'nt that low, still a little gap seen in the arches. And the H&R does travel but not that much . Those front bumperbrackets will need doing i think because on hard curving these already tend to rub now already. Also decided to put on 195 tyres.
Do i maybe need stronger...
I hope you can help me with something. You seem to have a lot of racing experience with the Clio RS ; i can get some magnesium Speedline 2020 wheels off of a race team (Spirit Racing, Holland) , only i just found out that the offset of these wheels is around 30-32.. (15 inch 7J ) This would...
listen to Fred (Yozzasport) and Sean (K-tec). First one is defo wrong (twisted one is for the later models) and when Sean K-tec says second one is wrong then it prob is...
arrrgh .. trying to find a pic of your car with the ET 38 wheels and bit of lowering ! ;)
did you manage ?
You did the same as what i'm about to do ; your original ET was 45, you went to 38 so 7mm more out. The wheels i'm after are ET 30 or 32 (could'nt quite measure correctly) , my cup...
Thanks guys
@ The Seer ; your ET of 38 is the same as my Turinis that i have on now , i have no probs whatsover lowering .. (?) Do you have a RS Sport ?
**edit** just notice you have a 182 !! Normal ET being 45 , and now your running 38.
@ Izibizi ; is that the light scrubbage from the...
I have searched through very many threads, only some came up with an offset of even 28..
The wheels i would love to buy seem to have an offset of around 30 / 32
This being around 8mm further out than my Cup Turinis gets me thinking it will give problems ? Lowered the car but not too much...
yeah i would think the prices were like that. But it IS a way to supercharge the Clio to 300+ and not worry anymore about the box
not for me anyway.. was just wondering if anyone had thought of also modifying a box to take silly HP
so that is the wining noise in all those cup racer/ rallye from inside cockpit films !
Yes i'm guessing that would become very irritating+unbearable !
But ! Is this do-able in costs and are the same gears deliverable , meaning a straight switch over for the helical ones ?
I think this...
maybe not making sense :o bare with me + my English..
The gearbox has slanted teeth gears does'nt it ? I know the race boxes often have straight ones ?
The slanted ones transfer a lot of power outwards putting stress on the box/ pushing outwards and splitting the damn thing. Is it possible...
i think yours runs optimal as it's been going forever i've read , your choice of fuel could well have something to do with it. Optimal combustion going on in there
Dont you mean rich?
no i meant lean.. I remember the man who tuned my Subaru said something about a car one the verge of running lean runs fastest . Trick is to be carefull with this (i think more for turbo powered cars) as it could cause serious damage when running too lean
^^ oh my f.g.
Still when i have the money i'll be wanting another original splitter.
TimmyD, have you thought about a Seat Ibiza splitter ? not even half the price and a tad more aggresive looking.
search ; it does'nt look bad at all !
first one does read and adjust mixture in some way but not cat related.
Mark mine was also just above allowed once , and with a sporcat, heated up well, it was spot on once.
I think the car gets the best readings when the engine is really hot
I'm guessing the 8,7 of one of the above was on...
