OP - If the airbags have been deployed its a one shot system as far as I'm aware. You need a new airbag ECU plumbing into your car. If plugged into clip it will come up as a red fault that can't be erased. As soon as its been fired you won't get the lights off until you replace it. Take it...

I carry a breaker bar in the boot anyway which has both 17mm and 19mm socket head so it's not a massive issue but would be nicer if they matched

Yeh I've done that. It's literally JUST too long and sticks out by 2 mm when tightened up

It's only a crappy spoiler, silly exhaust and a few decals. It has RS xenons fitted which are quite expensive. I'd buy that and fix it if the price was right :)!
