Front suspension has been knocking for a few weeks so I've bought new shocks and top mounts. I'll probably sort the spare swivel hub I have for the drivers side and swap that at the same time.
Had my insurance renewal come through too and after getting very similar quotes elsewhere I juts hit...
Spotted a dark blue fourcheese just like @Cub. 's in the police station car park opposite work this evening. I didn't take a pic because I didn't want them to think I was a gimp like that auditing Britain t**t.
You shouldn't be able to see the starter from above because the heat shield should be covering it. This is it from the drivers wheel arch (arch liner removed) and on the left is the exhaust manifold and the wiggly bit is the heat shield that is clipped between the starter motor and the solenoid.
Good to see it steadily becoming whole again. Hosepipe ban is a pain, although I gave my car a quick wash yesterday and got around it by using a "water outlet extension tube" instead of a hose😉.
What happened with the insurance claim, where did they place the blame?
Been a while. Now covered 1500 miles and the car still works. I had it booked in for the belts etc doing a couple of weeks ago but got a call 2 days before to say there wasn't a dephaser to be found anywhere. So I'm waiting until they turn up and still driving steadily 😒. I have noticed a rattle...
As far as I'm aware the blue/ polished wheels were an option so if they are in good condition I'd definitely be buying a second set to have done in a preferable shade.
Yeah I had my 200 booked in for belts etc doing last week and they rang me to say they couldn't find a dephaser anywhere and all the usual stockists were waiting on renault to deliver. I've no history so wanted the whole lot doing even though it runs smooth and is nice and quiet.
