Returning member - looking for a 200, all advice appreciated!

s**t like the above from the manufacturers just annoys me. I appreciate that there is no such thing as a mechanically perfect car - but manifolds are rarely an issue on a 1*2, so why on the newer models? Likewise - the gearbox. Come on Renault - under your own marketing juggernaut, a...

My usual response here..... are there any receipts to show when the last gearbox oil change was done? It transformed mine from a spoon in porridge to actually feeling nice to use. Welcome aboard, btw!

Assetto Corsa.... Where the hell are you guys, you're missing out!

Only downloaded the cars under 'A' so far on that list - and that's taken 3.2GB. This may take some time.

WRC 2 Fiesta R5 testing @ Greystoke, Cumbria

Cheers guys - yep, very fortunate! Maybe I should learn some co-driving skills in order to get back in there more often? Shelley's turn was a 'bit' more vocal than mine! :tongueout:

Gus was saying that on gravel, they are capable of 0-60 in around 3.5secs. On tarmac, that’s down towards 3secs. Launch control was pretty epic - a shame that the footage doesn’t really reflect that.

And my passenger ride. Despite being 6"1' tall, the co-driver seat is mounted so low in the chassis, that I barely saw out and above the dash. I kept quiet - trying to absorb and really appreciate everything that was going on, and also to allow Gus to concentrate. Not that I probably would have...

Dead pheasant splatter! Couple of small clips recorded with my phone. Cameraman of The Year I most certainly am not! The sound really has to be heard for such a little 1.6litre...

WRC 2 Fiesta R5 testing @ Greystoke, Cumbria

Shelley and I were lucky enough to get an invite from our nephew Gus Greensmith to have a passenger ride in a Fiesta R5. We got up to the Greystoke area early yesterday and was presented with a very focused M-Sport setup, consisting of Gus's car and another - along with engineers, mechanics and...

I’ve got blueprints containing components that I’ve yet to come across. I’m at a bit of a dead end at the minute without much in the way of story leads. The Degasi one just seemed to dry up - unless I’m missing something? Strange how overtime you recall a mental map of where familiar scenery...

What is this foolery that you speak of? Two Spirit R's?! I take it one was the that at £30k that they made the video of alongside the R34 V-Spec II nur? The bloke in that video hit the nail on the head - there was so much choice back then. Traditional inline-4. Flat-4. Straight six. V6...

    Silver 182 - 172 cup spec

If you ever get around to getting a quick rack, can you make me an offer for the OEM one off this? I'm after getting one that I can get refurbed and then fitted to mine. It creaks and groans like a b*****d when the weather gets warm. Fine for now though.

Only just started building habitats today. Got the moonpool up, scanner room and a multipurpose one. Got the battery chargers up, large storage cabinet, vehicle upgrade and the modification station. I like how you can dock the Prawn or Seamoth and they can be charging while you’re away. Just...

    Strange vibration?!

It does surprise me at how poor the whole driveshaft and CV boot path has been designed and manufactured. We've all suffered from split CV boots, boots coming off, grease flicked and splattered about on alloys, engine components, even disc brakes. The 182 is the only car I've ever owned where...

Excellent - definitely one of the better looked-after cars on here! Might be worth looking at the state of the underseal if you can get it in the air too. If it's not been redone - 13 years is lot to cope with on the UK salt-based roads. I had mine redone about two years ago when a couple of...

Just got a new phone, techno r****d needs help. Again.

I've never really understood Apple's attitude to volume. You can set your volume quite low then click on a link that takes you to YouTube for example, that then proceeds to almost blow the speaker apart. Surely whatever you set your phone's volume to - should be the same level across every app...

Good link Steve - @NaplesValver one of the images in that thread shows the actual peg I'm on about.

    Squeaky wipers

No worries - I hope that fixes it! I've hijacked an image off here from years back and drawn an arrow to roughly the location of the fixing peg. It's from memory, so I might be a little out - but if you look in the cavity of where the wiper mechanism is, you can't miss the peg.

    Squeaky wipers

There's a small chance that your wiper mechanism isn't lined up properly. I had this a while back. The coverage of the screen with the blades was fine, but the motion of the wipers was noisy. New blades didn't fix it and I remembered that I had taken the wiper mechanism out a while before to...
