just changed inlet temp sensor and map sensor, new leads and plugs, still no joy, but i did accidently leave the blank off for the accoustic valve and it did run alot better, but i have just found that me radiator is leaking, could this cause me coolant temp sensor to read a slight higher temp...
your ecu as many setting including response, the booster increases the signal time between pedal and ecu thus the response kicks in sooner rather than later, they are so much money because theyve been developed over the past 5 years or so, if a fault does develope causing a crash, then you are...
got one on my 172 sport, couldnt tel at first cus me car was playing up, changed the plugs and it was very responsive, more than it was the last time i changed them.
just remembered something wondering if it anything to do with my cutting out problem, on idle is the throttle valve suppose to be fully closed, this is on a mk2 172 sport with electronic throttle. cheers ryan
when i told the renault bloke about me car cutting off, he showed me what looked like that solenoid off the side of the valve and said it could be that, but i said i took it off and it was running fine ( so i think) before it went in and had other work done, if its an air bypass for when the...
i think it maybe an air bypass for when the throttle is closed, i had a renault bloke showing me this as a seperate part on the computer but it was a ph 1 throttle body on the screen, i told him it looked similar to the plug on the side of the acoustic valve
well the place ive had it done have had it back to check it over, told them its over fueling and blackening the plugs up, but to fair i dont think theyve got a clue, they just said it cant be the mapping, its probably the cams etc...
ive changed the lambda sensors with new ones, changed the coolant sensor with a new one, tried a different throttle body, changed the spark plugs, helped abit but still doing it, the cars got cat cams, matched inlets, cat back exchaust, sportd cat and a unichip.
Replaced the coolant temperature sensor, still no good, what about the TDC sensor or the knock sensor? do you think it could be any of these, im running out of ideas
found a sensor at the back of the engine in the bellhousing, next to the exchaust manifold, does anyone know what it is as its partically melted, cheers.
well that the next thing to try, checked the emmision canister lastnite to see if that was sticking open, i think it was alrite, well i left the tube off going into the engine and blocked the hole off, and it still stalled, so i dont think its that.
got a diagnostics, didnt come up with anything, maybe renaults diagnostics will be more indepth. by the time i took it apart they will be dry, the plugs i took out were all blacked up, and it smell of petrol when ticking over and when it stalls.
i just thought, it smells like its over fueling on tick over, but when driving it isnt over fueling when driving, because im still managing good mpg, is that possible?
well it didnt work, damn it........ because of the nice whether it started to do it again, well could over fuelling cause it it to stall when stoppin then, yozza? my mate did notice that it is kicking out some petrol fume, but it isnt drinking the juice, i still managed to get 40mpg on the motor...
