Anybody with a valver got a black rubber cap with jemar or something like that on it covering a metal disk coming through the dash just to the left of the steering column? whats it for?
Isnt it obvious?
Speaking as a Saxo owner, that Saxo your mate has is utterly tasteless.
Why would you want to stickers all over it and show off a stupid back box?
Crass in the extreme.
Plus its far too low at the back compared to the front.
I bet all the McDs crew love it though.
Funny how you rarely...
Ridiculous that 172beast.
Thats a nice waste of council tax. Far cheaper to fix the hole asap, rather than ages later, spend the same amount fixing it and having to probably fork out loads in compo claims.
Adam, it may take a while but yeah, dont back down. Id even threaten them with local...
Take plenty of pics of the road, the pothole, the approach to the pothole.
I tried to sue the council for me hitting an upturned manhole cover and I was unsuccessful.
Council said it was the waterboards fault. Waterboard said it was the councils fault. Neither would back down and I never...
I think most on here are a bit out of order and unneccessarily taking the p.
Most, like me, hate cars that are ott and sl*gged up and usually slate the owner.
This guy has smartened his lower spec Clio into something a little more sporty looking. Hes not gone overboard.
I think where this...
How do these people expect to be taken seriously.
Id die of embarrassment in that.
Imagine driving that and pulling up along side some stunner at the lights.
I love my VTS but its time to move on (due a clutch, service and timing belt change so Id better hurry!)
Adamf, I just like being know as that as thats my roots.http://forum.cliosport.net/forum_members.asp?ForumID=0&find=&sort=oldestUsers I was the third guy to register here. Just the way its...
He sounds like thathttp://web.ukonline.co.uk/gazfives/my_clio_rsi.htm GazFives guy whos Clio RSi can beat everything including Boxsters and Cossies. Funny though he admitted he couldnt beat a 16v or Willy.
I think most people see a fast car and go for it. The faster car pulls away slightly...
Not read the other post.
In my VTS with 130 bhp I can keep up with 172s fairly easy. And by keep up, unlike some people, I dont mean keep the car in sight. I mean within a car length, two at most.
Obviously with a long straight section of road the gap would increase.
Tbh, I hate it when...
WHY IS IT, EVERYONE EXCEPT ME, LEAVES IT TIL THE LAST SECOND (LITERALLY AS THEY CROSS THE LINE) TO INDICATE TO COME ONTO A D/C FROM A SLIP ROAD??!
YES I MEANT TO SHOUT!!!!!
I get that a lot too.
A lot of the time its from pillocks in bigger cars who either a, dont realise my car is quick, or b, do realise but not how much.
Often show them up.
What I dont like is tracksuit boy who I notice looking at my car as Im driving by and then he looks over his shoulder.
Yeah I got a shock too. My local back street garage insisted I inusre the car not them. Cost me £15 for 4 days with elephant and that was for a cr***y P reg Escort.
Maybe Im right, maybe Im not.
Just going off my experience.
Are you sure its not noises in your head?
My mam always tells me that what my noise are when I say can ye hear that? or shell say just ignore it!
Last week when I took wheel off to investigate the knocking, I could see grease all round the arch. I could then see the cv boot had split.
Take your wheel off. Have a look at the boot. It could have come off/split and theres your problem.
If it looks fine, then Id be inclined to say wheel...
A humming noise tends to be wheel bearings.
Hard to say which side. You could try jacking the car up and holding the wheel at left and right and shaking it. Any slight play can indicate wheel bearing damage. Expect around £70-90 with fitting.
I had loads go on my old RT. Turning the wheel...
