Used optimax from start, 2500 miles later had to fill up with tesco99 last week as optimax had run out around here. Noticed mpg dropped from 34 to 31 mpg (exact, not using trip computer) - anyone else noticed a change like this?
^when I was shopping around + Direct line were being ars*holes, I tried Privilege as they gave the lowest online quote. The guy I spoke to was really helpful, tried to insure the car as a cup until we came up with too many differences. Anyway, he read out his list of options as he saw them...
The general feeling will be that of mixed opinions!
It didn't even occur to me that cup packs should be declared until I starting reading threads on this/renaultsport site. The Renaultsport "panel of experts" stated that cup packs were modifications and should be declared (well it is a...
Probably a losing battle as everyone else said. About 10 years ago some tosser REVERSED into me while trying to open up some space for a girl turning into the same road. Funnily enough all the witnesses vanished before I could get anyone's name + the guy who was all apologetic later phoned to...
Bit off topic, but was having a look at the filler cap for the first time since getting the car, couldn't get the damn plastic-flap thing open to access it. Prised it up as much without snapping it + noticed wires holding it down underneath. Only way I can see to get at them is by unscrewing...
Is this likely to do any long term damage if just left alone, which seems simplest thing to do especially as dealer is bound to fob you off etc? I remember a similar post and think the technical note as mentioned referred to anti-corrosion treatment. Wouldn't want anything to rust to pieces in...
Renault do say declare it, I asked on the "panel of experts" on renaultsport.co.uk a couple of months ago (look for yourself) and was told the 182 cup packs should be declared to the insurance companies. I was with Direct line who tried to bump my insurance up from c. £320 to £570. Ended up...
Had my black gold 182 4 weeks + some tosser in car park put scratches/red mark on door mirror today. Not that noticeable to be honest, but what do you suggest to remove red paint mark (assuming it is paint - quite dark red, not some coating on mirror??) - tar remover or similar?
Had 3 different 1.4 8v RT clios since they came out '91 (2 x mk1 and a mk2) and decided it was time to have some fun before the mk3 came out. Economic to run/decent sized boot, Getting a bit older + having a bit more cash also helped! Found the official renaultsport forum which helped my...
Doesn't affect NCB usually (maybe a number of claims in a period might) but bear in mind if you are going to change your insurance soon that it could be counted as a "no fault claim" as I found to my cost when I changed to kwik-fit insurance a couple of years ago.
Washed mine recently and wheels/brakes had frozen solid next morning, had to pour warm water over them to get going after I'd almost wrecked the car revving + not going anywhere!
Get the spec confirmed from Motorpoint over the phone. They import (to UK specs for insurance purposes) but suspect that it wouldn't come with a Cat 1 alarm, for example. Got the wife's Mondeo from Motorpoint and had no problems overall, just a slightly different specification. Got my full...
cool, keep an eye out for black 182, LY55 xxx from this Friday onwards...
Are you the same one I've seen at Towcester R'bout weekday evenings couple of times?
