yeah, looks like im going to have to buy a Heavy Duty battery for a DCi.
Does anyone know if the DCi alternator will bolt/plug straight onto the 1.2 16v engine? or any other higher output alternators?
Just to try and get all the info and opinion on this subject into one thread, what do people think is the best option for getting more power from the 1.2 16v? (presuming in this case that selling the car and buying a 172 etc is not an option).
Seems to be a toss-up between this rumoured K-tec...
Few quick questions for all you knowledgeable peeps out there... ;-)
1. Im running two amps at the moment which dim the headlights to the bass... am I going to be damaging the alternator if it cant keep up, or simply draining the battery?
2. Would the alternator from a DCi be a straight...

(oh, also have a 1977 Ford Capri Ghia that is broke at the mo!)
Hey all,
Fiddling around with my dynamique at lunchtime trying to figure out where to fit my remote bass control thingy and somehow pulled on a bit of the loom above the pedals. When i looked then there was a bit hanging down with a plug on the end of it not connected to anything! :o

@ Renosport83 - take a look at the details of the london meet a fortnight today... ill likely be there and you can hear mine then. you wont scare anyone with pops and bangs, but it is a nice burbly popping noise when hot on over-run.
Battersea...
i like those BSAs (is it me or do they have a bit of a OE volvo alloy look to them?!).
anyone getting rims for their cup gonna be selling a set of turinis then?
@ mike - i was gonna say that being a reno tech at least you should be able to fix a clio with a dodgy running fault... but then again on my evidence! :(
hope ya 172 gets well soon mike!
