1. The size of the square drive for the clio oil sump plug.
2. The size of the copper washer you need to renew on the sump plug.

Lets look at this is perspective, This is a forum where you post Troubles so yes it would appear on first glance that Clios are plagued with troubles but with the whole picture in view this site probably counts for less than 1% of renault sold world wide and I bet many many of them have had no...

Ehh how does that work. The 1.4 16v Megane is group 6 and the 1.6 16v is group 7/8 ? You would think it would be the same the the clio.
Bloody insurance companies.
Brun, Have to agree with Viceroy mate. My wife has just picked up a 2000 model 1.4 16v Megane and it has I think the same engine as the clio and this is nippy which is great as it is physically bigger than the clio.
But why dont you go for the 1.6 as it is only another insurance group higher ?

Keep em cum-ing ! ;)
But Nick you will get bags more torque with the 1.8 !
I can see where your coming from however but I would have something that was a bit different from the crowd if I wanted to turbo my 16v if I had one.

If you just a bolt on turbo for a normal aspirated car you are p155ing your money away and will eventually blow it up. A Turbo car has a lower compression engine and you may also need to upgrade the crank due to extra power going through, remap the fuel system etc etc the list goes on.
