yeah its stronger. thats why iv just bought one as my 16v box lasted 18k after a rebuild. i think they should be ok, but mine had a couple of major hammerings that caused it i! doh!

no just the cams with the profile i asked for. the guy already had teh chart. u want it fully mapped, unichip or similar is ur best bet by far mate.

thats what i thought, but someone had the wrong phase ecu in and it was causing problems. the internals do look different on them though!

i did what ur doin mate. the guy who fitted mine had the kent timing chart jobbie and timed them to that as kent recommended. Although when i went to HP, nick suggested that they needed advancing slightly when he heard the lumpy idle. Ran fine with standard ECU, then i got an off the shelf...

lol. quite possibly true. no, my gearbox eventually died after a full throttle change damaged it a few months back :(

u should hit more than 138 in 5th, iv had 141 with some left with standard chip and 16v box.

iv been running cams, headwork, manifold with standard ECu. i had an off the shelf and it was no different! hopefully be getting a unichip sorted to release the true power ;)

the engine on the s/c one was done in denmark or somewhere similar!

u need to get under the car, youll see it straight away mate.

induction kits sound the nuts but dont help for power. standard airbox with replacement panel is best bet, unless u got a sealed induction kit.

well i had mine rebuilt at 60k when i had the engine rebuilt mainly for peace of mind but its just died after 18k. but it has had some hammer. i did a full throttle change once that fuked it up and its since then its got worse until its final death. now up there in renault heaven. 90k u...

unichip all the way. iv had off the shelf chips, and to be honest its better off with standard ecu.

ill have another run if u wanna go mate. need to get a gearbox 1st though, this bloke is takin forever, might just get a 16v box instead.
