Also agree... Sure it's obvious when pedalling it that it doesn't have bags of torque, but it doesn't hinder the cars performance or ditract from the driving experience. Steering feel and fuel economy were my only gripes, but the steering can be sorted with a FRSU which I may have mentioned...
Can't believe I've just read the last ten pages of this, CS never fails to amuse.
I've got a trackday on Saturday in my first RWD car and I'm running semi-slicks, I must remember to be extra careful lol.
Well I've had the Mazda a few weeks now I can honestly say I love it. It seems to put a smile on my face no matter how I'm driving or where I'm going, it's just cool. Last weekend I drove with the roof down from a trackday to a wedding reception only stopping off for a suit jacket along the way...
This weekend is the BTRDA 75 Year Celebration Event on Sat 27th April, and on the Sunday it's the Sheffield and Hallamshire MC Sprint. I've no idea if there will be an entry fee, but I'd say it's unlikely as I've only paid to get in once in several years of attending.
My brother has bought one of these... Taxed and clean inside and out with 70k miles, just needed a windscreen, battery and MOT which it passed.
How much? £500!
Indeed... Compared to an open pitlane day at Silverstone, Curborough is loose change. If it's local then even better as you can pop down any weekend and see classic or exotic cars putting laps in.
Nah, that just brings up a load of seats/cars for sale with fag burns, I saw Ad's numberplate in the title :o
Don't think I did pay actually, but then I didn't have a tent lol.
Was mooching around in Hereford when a silver 172 rounded the corner... Lowered with Speedlines, OZ's or something similar, lowered too... Didn't really take much notice of it at first so my description is vague, definitely noticed a CS sticker in the back window though!
Also saw a Flame red...
It's not the fastest thing in the world, but it's so much fun... It's one of those cars that's fun to just cruise around in on a nice day, I couldn't really say that about the Civic.
Yeah the previous owner claims the geometry has been done, I've no reason to doubt him as he was a decent bloke with a Motorsport background.
Yep, I wanted something cheaper and more fun.
Yes mate, might try somewhere safe like Bedford first as this is my first proper RWD car. Feels very different to my previous cars which will give me a new challenge :)
