They haven't modified the firmware, they've just installed an theme :) It's a very cool phone, having gone Nokia -> SE (crap) -> Windows Mobile based phone (crap) -> Nokia it's good to be home again. (at the moment!) The screen on this phone is awesome too, downloaded some music to the memory...

Except that there isn't a compatible version of TomTom available yet, as Tom pointed out earlier in the thread it'll most likely be TomTom 6 that is compatible with the version of the symbian OS this is running.

Don't worry about it mitch, it's only slightly chunkier than my SPV C500 and I'd class that as a pretty slim phone (imo!), it's shorter than it though. Very small when you consider whats in it!

Sorry to hear that mitch :( Just tried iSync on the mac, no worky, phone too new. One google search, and 30 seconds later, bingo it syncs contacts, calendars etc without a problem. :) Gotta go to the cinema in 20 minutes though :(

As Clart and I have said, you cannot use a PAC code to transfer a number to the same network, the exception to this is pay and go to a contract.

Except that they won't let you keep your existing number if you sign up for a new contract, they've got you by the short and curlies and are squeezing! ;)

Orange! Dunno what the other networks will be offering, but voda don't include any texts in their contracts as far as I could see.

Nah, 12 or 18, on an 18 month contract you'll get 1000 extra texts per month for life.

The orange deals are pretty good, they're very good if you're prepared to be locked into an 18 month "web" contract.

I looked a voda, but they seem a complete rip when it comes to texts, from what I could work out none of the price plans include any texts and you have to pay 'x' quid per month for texts, unless I've missed something!

I've also heard that the firmware on the orange version is the generic version :) Apparently all they've done is just add their own orange theme.

I could have had 1500 texts if I'd gone onto an 18 month contract, but I didn't want that. The terms of the contract are fine for my use.

I've never used the camera on any of the phones I've owned, both my digital cameras produce far better shots than any phone camera!

£49 for the phone. £25/month on the contract which should be pretty much all I need. Will be cheaper than the pay & go that I'm on now.

£49. 12 month contract, 500 texts, 100 minutes (I use texts more than voice). If I'd picked an 18 month then it'd have been something like 1500 texts a month.

Yes. I had a confirmation email this morning, it'll be here monday or tuesday. I also had a slight email issue, so I asked them to re-confirm this, I got a second email from them also stating this.
