As far as I am aware, there are about four different blacks. Isnt there a metal plate under the bonnet with the paint code? The body shop knows exactly where to look for the code.
Doesnt the garage give you the check list when it gives you the MOT certificate? Or do they only give it to you if your car fails and has to be retested after fixing?

I dont think it is recommended to polish a brand new car because it will have, or should have been waxed by the dealers valet prior to you getting it and also I was told by the valet in a garage a while ago, that once a car has had a good waxing, it only needs to be washed with water for a few...

Ignore Gengar and Dean, Super Ts arent a problem at all and as they improve the car immensely, just go for them, youll regret it if you dont. I have posted this before - if I arrive home after a wet drive, I get out the hose or bucket and sponge to give the wheels a very quick rinse...
Try BM Heaven, they do them. Paul Dowler the guy who runs it is very helpful and all their stuff is reasonably priced. They not only do BMW styling, they also do most other makes of car.

You guys wouldnt like to clean mine and my hubbys wheels then, he has 18 spokes on his 18" wheels and mine have 16 spokes, so between the two cars we have a total of 136 spokes to clean and it is usually me who does it!
I find that by waxing them from time to time, it is so much easier to keep...
How the heck can 1" diameter extra on a wheel make any difference, especially when using a lower profile tyre? The circumference would measure exactly the same, the only difference might be a bit more weight, unless of course you have a lighter wheel, like Super Ls or Dare V2s or similar.
How...
I reckon that more people would stop and stare at a V6 Clio than they would at common Porsches or Ferraris! It must be one of the coolest cars EVER!! What can you get for under £30K looking as superb? NOTHING!!

Ignore that message! I dont have a problem Ikeeping them clean as I use a sponge between the spokes and a round brush for the edges nearest to the tyres and although I have only done just over 5,000 miles on these wheels, I have never had to use anything stronger than car shampoo to clean them...
They are 17s and it is definitely a 172 and not a 1.4 you cheeky boy Neil!! The Super Ts look even better "in the flesh" so to speak than in the picture. The car is actually lower now than it was when these pics were taken

Your local garage can lower your car, you dont need a specialist unless you want to fork out double!! The smallish local garage close to where I live, are often lowering cars/new springs/new wheels/new air filters/dropping torsion bars a notch or two etc etc and as their hourly rate is half of...

Cant your uncle find out for you? A friend of ours from the south where we used to live, works for Renault and he also sponsors and spanners for another friend in Superbikes and he told me that he is allowed to get several Renaults each year for friends and family @ 22% discount but he...
I have ordered some Z rated tyres today for the Beemer but you certainly dont need them for a 1.2 Rob WHAT SPEED CAN YOU DO IN A 1.2?
T rated = up to 118mph and H rated = up to 130mph - you certainly dont need Z Rob!!
DONT USE AN OLD T-SHIRT to clean glass, because if it has even a tiny amount of fabric softener in it, the glass will get very smeary.
Kitchen towels are the best as they are very clean.
I always use Mr Muscle glass cleaner and kitchen towels as they stop any smearing. Spray it onto the paper towels and not the window, to prevent the cleaner spraying onto other surfaces.
The front roof area has stood up pretty well as has the front cabin area, considering it looks to have been a big crash. I dont think there are many cars of this size that would be as protective as some crashed Clios I have seen are. In the past I have seen some Fiats, Escorts and Fiestas...
I have an imported 172 which also came with a Cat 1 alarm and locking wheel nuts, which my dealer had fitted for me and it also has a 3-year unlimited RAC warranty, but my car wasnt as cheap as some on here as it cost a little over £13,000, so I guess you get what you pay for!
Apparently none...
