Just bought a 182 and the gear knob is still the original one and needs replacing.
Since they are a b**ch to get off I think this one will be cut off.
Thinking of an OEM replacement, but unsure what else would suit the car.any one know the cost of an OEM knob?
Is the phase 1 knob an...
Probably worth stating what year you sold said car to give an idea of how much you’ve fucked up. I sold my 205 in 2010 so it’s probably gone up nearly a grand a year.
Replaced it with a 172 that I only had a year I think I sold that in 2011 for about £2500, so their prices haven’t gone anywhere.
Just got back home and really enjoyed it. We camped on one of the official sites and were literally 3 minutes walk from the gates. I must say I enjoyed Thursday and Friday the most as the crowds were a lot lighter than Saturday and Sunday.
Bumped into Kubica on the way back to our car.
While strolling around we’ve seen
Lord March
Duggy Lampkin
Brendan Hartley
Mark Higgins
Rene Arnoux
Richard Petty
Billy Monger
Mark Webber
Jackie Stewart (and Paul)
Karun Chandhok.
There are autograph area but I’m not that bothered about that.
Really, bugger I’ve missed it if there was an F40. Walked round the super car paddock yesterday and didn’t see it.
My favorite two cars so far have been these (yes I like 911’s)
A bit of a cheat but I saw this little beauty today at goodwood, left on its own looking all unloved. Nick Masons 250 (worth around a cool £30 million.
I'll take you out in mine when my umbers come out on Friday.
Off to Goodwood this weekend and Porsche are celebrating their 70th anniversary there, so hoping to see loads of good Stuttgart machines there.
while I was picking my car up from the MOT there was a metallic green G reg Granada Ghia, in fairly mint condition.
Stuck the reg in a MOT check and it had done 110,000 mile but had only done around 300 miles a year for the last 8 years or so. Horrible looking thing, it hadn't dated well at all.
saw another Calibra this morning dragging it's exhaust along the road making a right old noise. Looked a bit of a shed with a carbon effect bonnet with bonnet vents.
mine was excellent economy wise considering the performance (std 172).
Remind me how heavy is the clutch on a 1*2, I can't remember now. Tthe one in my M3 does not make long periods of stop start traffic too much fun.
The only thing I wished my 172 had was cruise.
