Parked up in the car park near Club Corner. Anyone from here? D.

    Cheese and Onion

Lol @ the title. Great colour combo. I agree - AG looks superb in the flesh. As cat says - it needs the spoiler to finish off that rear end though. D.

    Windows 10

I totally agree. And no doubt MS has whole departments of engineers, designers (and importantly) accounts people - literally chomping at the bit to get new software out. They have to justify their salaries somehow.... ;) But in all seriousness - quick incarnations of an O/S are really only...

    Games With Gold [XBOX]

Nabbed Halo Reach on the 360, just before the 1st October. Not too familiar with the Halo series as a whole, but I'll definitely give it a go. D.

Elite sequel - Elite : Dangerous

I remember playing this on my mate's BBC Micro B. Apparently there were loads of ships - each marked with a little asterix in the back of the manual - that you couldn't have because the 32k memory of the BBC was too small! I got the C64 version and had the luxury of all the ships - lol! The...

    Windows 10

Because the R&D that they put into XP would have been paid off pretty quickly after 2001. And up until the release of Vista - that was realistically the only desktop O/S you would buy for a PC - both in the home and in the office. Home users would buy their PC's from Currys, Dixons, et al - or...

    Windows 10

I'm sure they'd make more money dragging out an O/S over a 10+ year period like Windows XP, than they ever would in creating a new one every two to three years. An operating system does a job. It's not a flashy gadget like a TV or a mobile that people feel compelled to buy the new version of...

    Windows 10

I honestly don't see the rush to get Windows 10 out? Why, since XP, have they decided to release an SP (or two, iirc in Fista's case) and then bag it off with a new version of O/S? Windows 7 x64 is a cracking operating system and instead of pushing an SP2 or SP3 even, they felt it necessary to...

    Logitech G27 - Great Deal

Should be good! There's a dedicated controller profile within GT6 for both the G25 & G27. I don't bother with the manual gearstick - just the flappy paddles for gears. I do wish the G25 had a larger number of red buttons like the G27 to assign things to.

    Logitech G27 - Great Deal

If its any consolation, my G25 works brilliantly with the PS3 and GT6. Nice feel and feedback to it. D.

XCOM : Enemy Unknown & Enemy Within

I've said that before too - a co-op option would work brilliantly. Especially if there was a game mode where each player could start with 'credits' and spread that between a squad of their choice. Do you want a very small, but powerful squad - or one that's quite numerous with more basic kit? I...

XCOM : Enemy Unknown & Enemy Within

Oh no - I meant they aren't actually difficult - just a shower of s***s that top themselves when you tazer them.... :P Yeah - I would really like a follow up. I was impressed at just how much an improvement Enemy Within was, over Enemy Unknown. With Firaxis pulling the levers behind the scenes...

Housekeeping and tidy up of an iMac - sanity check?

Thanks for all the advice chaps - I'll definitely look into the memory upgrade. I know on my ex's MacBook years back - it was a night & day difference between 2GB and upping it to 4GB. Cheers, D.

    Steam - including latest offers

Did you try the Sniper Elite 2 that was being given away free on Steam the other month? Put an hour into it last night for the first time - really quite enjoyable. I'll definitely play it through to the end. Proper stuff starts at around 2.30 on here...

Housekeeping and tidy up of an iMac - sanity check?

Chaps, Just wanted to run the following by you first. I'm fine doing this on PCs, but the Apple side is still a bit new to me! First off, my sister-in-law has an i5 27" iMac. The local HDD is getting quite full and it comes with the preloaded version of OSX that it had when purchased - approx...

    Urgent caliper help

Probably best. ebay has some listed, but they are circa £25 for a set of four. I bet OEM Renault ones are cheaper......... (possibly) ;) D.

    Car wandering, steering wheel shake

Yep - fixed my steering wheel shake issue at 50mph+ Best bet (if you can manage it) is to get the wheels off and wash the inside of the front alloys (or all of them, if you you've moved front to back previously) - with some warm water and washing up liquid. Fairy is brilliant at getting the CV...

    Rear dampers/shocks

Re: Rear dampners/shocks Pretty sure the mounts are separate? Iirc, the bolt section of the top of the damper passes through and the locking nut screwed on top accordingly. Been a while since I've done mine though. D.

Laying a car up for 6 months?

Laying a car up for 6 months?

Ideally, could the car be raised with the wheels off? Might be a little overkill for six months, but like you say - that would certainly negate any flat spots - especially if they were decent/newish tyres. I'd personally not try to leave too much petrol in the tank. Hardly drain it, but just...
