Shows how busy/good they are Cerbera4.5 if you can get in on the spur of the moment! Our local garage is so busy because of its reliability and honesty etc, that customers book about two weeks ahead just to make sure they get their cars done by them.

DEALERS ARE GOING TO SAY THAT ARENT THEY? They dont make much profit on sales so they hope to make loads on services and spares etc, so if people see sense and get their cars serviced at good local garages, where the costs are cheaper but the work more thorough, they dont have all those...

I think it is now known as being "distressed" - thats what they call furniture that has been knocked about a bit.

How many miles have you done in yours? I have had mine since January 2002 and have done 4,000 miles with no problems as yet! Would the exhaust problem be down to age, mileage or the way the car has been driven?
