John, are you certain? Was it the same screw on the 172?
[Edited by Big G on 12/20/2004 7:47:51 PM]
EDIT:
Well done that man! That screw does indeed manually adjust the headlight level on the 182. Clockwise to raise, anti-clockwise to lower.
Might want to sticky this, or add it to...
Ok, I snapped a couple of pics of two possible adjustments at the back of the headlight. I dont know which one does what and im reluctant to fck about with it. Im hoping someone here knows?

Iceblue182: ah ok, ill not get so wound up in future ;)
Jezza: I had a look at the back of the headlight last night and I can see a hex socket on the back but im not sure if its for height adjustment.
Ill take a pic and see what everyone thinks.

Doh those links dont work anymore, must delete them from my favorites. Do a search on google on headlight aiming. Its easy to adjust them correctly.
Thanks Jon, I didnt know there was a manual adjustment on them too - thought there was...

They are jusy right, what the hell do you want from a set of headlights. If you had any longer throw from the offside then you would blind every mo fo out there (dipped obviously). Every headlight gives a higher nearside. God why dont people...
I received my 182 with about 250 motorway miles on it and I drove it sensibly in urban conditions for another 200 or so. I then completed a long motorway run utilising all gears up to 100 mph.
It has about 600 or so miles on it now and ive taken it for a good blast now and again, up to about...
Ive used the search function, but nothing answered my question.
I understand about the headlight levelling system, but it kinda seems that the driver side doesnt throw the light that far up the road. The passenger side is fine, illuminating the side of the road perfectly, but when I Was out...
Everytime i get in the 182 i cant get over how great it is. Ok, it has a couple of niggles (minor rattle from glovebox) but price, performance, toys and handling are just incredible. Renault got this car so right, obviously Evo and Autocar agree with me ;).
The roads at this time of year are in no fit state for taking roundabouts at speed. But youre right, the 182 does understeer if you put the power down to early (on a greasy road) and the ESP might get tickled a bit.
I usually take a roundabout in second gear, keep the revs below 5000 rpm make...
Toyos must perform differently on the Clio because ive got two Toyo Proxes (similar tread pattern to Eagle F1) fitted to the front wheels of my Fiesta and it grips so well in the wet over the old Pirelli P6000s.
The Exalto 2s on my 182 are better, but I suspect in very wet conditions the...

And people say the focus RS is slow lol, thrashes the merc AMG, ferrari 575/Aston, v6 clio miles behind
What the other bloke said, the times for those cars are all in the wet (the V6 time was on a waterlogged track) whilst the...
Where the rear bumper meets the rear quarters and the bootlid there is about a 1cm gap, i can get all my fingers in it!
Its had a new rear panel, I know that much.
True FM, ive complained to Admiral; theyre taking it very seriously and are going to phone them first thing in the morning to...
All,
My old car (fiesta zetec-s) is currently in Admirals "approved repair centre" in Edinburgh for repair to the back end for a rear shunt. However, theyve made a fking mess of the job - the panel gaps are enormous (about 1cm gap where there should be none), they didnt replace the smashed...
I was going to buy from Barkers (the guy I spoke with called Barratt was a great guy) but they couldnt get a Silver one for me - only black or artic blue. Their price at the time quoted £11995, but the total on the road price was £12495 so you will have to phone and ask "is that a definite on...
Ahhh, gotcha - im watching the water temp guage then because i was driving for a good ten minutes and the water temp was up at the middle.
Obviously need to let it warm up a little bit more. Ill take it for a good run, 20 minutes or so and then see what its like.
Any way to check the oil...
So the 182 has over 600 miles on it now, ive been gentle with it but i had been starting to open it up more often; letting it warm up and then taking it to 5000 rpm, sometimes letting it come on cam and throw me into the seat but not all the way to the redline.
Tonight, I figured id take it...
One week and a few days, nearly 600 miles covered on my 182 and ive got the following niggles:
1) Occasional rattle from glovebox area (seems to have stopped today)
2) Passenger door aint locking/unlocking with keyfob - booked into reanult to fix under warranty
Apart from that, im very...

Can i say that a Corsa is still a bit of a shed no matter how fast it is? ;).
Instead of buying a 182, I could have bought a bog standard stripped out Corsa from the auctions for about £200, slapped in a high miler 2 litre for another £200, had a light pressure turbo fitted for £2k - so thats...

should fookin hope so mate, after 4 days! lol
Hehe, i got bored of my last car within a few days, but it didnt go ape sh*t with performance at 5k rpm, so what do...
All,
Still loving the 182, but ive got a few questions that I wonder if any other 182 owners could answer:
1) A minor glovebox-area rattle is present, apart from just living with it, has anyone had the same and know if its a specific bit/part that I can get?
2) After the engine is...
