You cant really "add" power lost by the charger. The net result is what is important.
Whats the spec of your engine?
Has the turbo been properly matched to it?
Have the camshafts been matched to this?
Im guessing not. Im guessing its a hit-and-hope conversion, which with...
I dont sell LSD's :)
And from my experience of driving a tarmac rally 172 with a Quiaffe ATB, it was much like std. There was no turn in gain mid corner under throttle, there was heavy understeer off and on throttle during entry, there was wheelspin on accln...
A plate LSD is worlds apart...
Given the engine has the exact same spec, 10 psi (or whatever) is 10psi for all intents and purposes, this is a measurment of restriction to flow caused by the intake syatem as a whole.
However with a SC there is less restriction on the exhaust system, so lower pressure accross the exhaust...
I have a flow bench, and can happily test it for CFM and velocity.
Im off work for a couple of weeks due to an accident, but feel free to email me at info@ap-developments.com if you would like to send it down in a few weeks.
The only thing I would say is that flowbench testing, whilst it...
Its a complete seperate diff unit. Std shaft mounts.
They need the OE diff sending to them so they can interference fit the CW, unless you spend an extra £450 for bolt on CW&P.
If its a competition car, i would defo go for bolt on CW with reduced ratio, £450 is a bargain when you consider...
But the gain is in the actual functioning of the unit. Thats WHY a user would be buying it.
I'll put it another way...in my experience of both type diffs, the LACK of function from the ATB unit makes it completely cost prohibitive...ie. even if you had to strip a plate lsd every 2/3 years to...
Based on experience of both, I disagree.
Maintenance Im mentioning is on full race cars. I know of users with Gripper on road cars who have had them fitted for like 5/6 years with the gearbox not coming off once!
Not too harsh really.
They can be a bit noisey, but not something overly annoying, especially when you are considering the use of the vehicle. The grippers are pretty quiet...Sadevs are a bit noiser I find.
They also dont need regular maintenance. Plates on race cars I work with are changed...
well as said, im off work due to a bike accident, so not at work to take calls.
You can leave a voicemail and I'll pick it up in a few days, or best bet is to email me and I can reply within a few hours.
Definately worth getting it rebuilt.
Rebuild cost, inc fitting the diff is 400+vat, diff itself is £750+vat.

I would say send your box to me and I'll get a firm local to me im using for another customers build to build yours, but im currently off work due to a motorbike accident.
I can however get their number tommorow. They are based in S.Wales, nowt a courier...
Gripper is probably best value for money--£750 +vat inc fitting of OE crown wheel.
Or they do a couple of bolt ons in various ratios for an additional £450 + vat
Has the bearing failed/spun?
Kinda looks like it hasnt looking at the remainder of the rod!
Im guessing failed rod bolt also..
Though these engines arent anywhere near as prone to oil surge issues as the Mi16 with std sumps, incorrect running clearances will soon spin shells.
If you need...
You should be seeing a big difference between 12deg and 26deg in terms of torque...are you sure these adjustments were being applied?
Slicks will 100% cause the losses to climb, as said, get some road tyres on there next time.
lb.ft.
2064cc.
big valve head, 45mm throttle bodies, uprated valve-train, steel bottom end etc etc etc
The 2000cc f7r sodemo "maxi" engines were about 190-195lb.ft and 270-ish bhp with similar overall engine spec, but "wilder" cams.
