I'm not sure anyone has taken delivery yet have they? So tough to say really.

What have you done to your car today ???

Nothing. Same as most days. It's a Volvo, and even though tuned - it just works!

I'm feeling frivolous, help me decide on a pressure washer...

I had a C110 and it was fine, upgraded to a C130 and there's a massive improvement. Foam lance produces much better foam and it just generally cleans much better. This is the setup I have now...

    Front brake help

Yep. i'm still going with it being the hose. I'm guessing some sort of internal damage making like a one way valve.

    Keep 172 or buy 197....?

Sorry my mistake, I did read it as over engineered. Never heard the phrase over engined!

    Keep 172 or buy 197....?

If anything, the 197 is FAR more over engineered than the 1*2. The swivel hubs for example, 4 pot brakes etc etc.

    Smoke at high revs

What sort of smell are we talking about?

    do clio sports always break??

2 'box rebuilds and 3 crank sensors in 10k?! Something not right there! Most of the other stuff is wear and tear you'd expect on those miles, clutch, TRE's etc. But........ i'd have given up at the point of it needing the second 'box rebuild - you must love it!

    Keep 172 or buy 197....?

If it's just a toy then stick with the 172 in my opinion. The 197 is too grown up for weekend fun.

OH no, wheres the locking wheel nut....

As above, they will have used it and not put it back.

    Someone crashed into me

How much is a 1.2 of this age worth? That's got to be a write off? Hope 1*2 replica mods are declared! My advice would be avoid insurance if possible.

    Someone crashed into me

Needs writing off purely based on those terrible headlights!

Michelin PS3 vs Dunlop Sport BluResponse

I'm asuming it's not a hot hatch, but I do think the car type is quite a vital bit of info! Out of the 2, i'd be picking PS3's.

What car? Tyre sizes lead me to think mx5 or similar?

    Throttle body setups...what's required?

NA would be best for track work though, would it not? Charger would be an option asyou get to keep a similar power delivery.

    Windows 10 Now live!

Thanks for info, still not sold though. My boot time is already sub 15 seconds (SSD), this machine has been built and running for about 14 months and has no noticable slow down in use. It's VERY stable, current run time is about 3 weeks without shutdown or reboot. My PC is by no means a fast or...

    Front brake help

I assume you bled the brakes? If so, how? One mad brake bleed kit, or two person pedal pump method? Strip it back down and check the following:- 1) is the caliper piston free moving. Can you push it back in easily - if not, then it could be a faulty/sticky caliper 2) do the pads move freely...

    Windows 10 Now live!

I'm still on Windows 7 - Should I upgrade? I'm not a gamer, my PC is mainly used as a Plex server, the odd bit of browsing and printing and that's about it. Worth the hassle of upgrading or stick with Win7?

Goodyear eagle F1 vs Michelin PS3

I've said it lot of times, but I run Pilot Sport 3's. They get hell on a daily basis with 350+lb-ft being forced through them and they cope fine. They have worn quickly but that is to be expected on a fairly heavy, fairly high powered FWD saloon. They are great in the dry, only coming unstuck...

Can only get 1mb broadband - alternatives?

    Gearbox oil

Well yes, but if that's the case then they probably shouldn't be working on the car themselves in the first place!
  29. Chrisgti6

    Gearbox oil

Full as in full to the fill hole. You can't fill it higher than that as oil will run back out of the hole. Hence the fill until it's full comment.

    Gearbox oil

Personally I have used Fuchs stuff from Opie Oils in the past @oilman
