So if been trying to source the cause of a knocking sound coming from the front near side of my car (not a Clio) and have finally pinpointed it I think.
My guess is that my newly fitted front shock should not make this noise or have play in the shaft....?
I'll apologise in advance for the...
No I get that, my point was more that most people have a smart TV now, so I can't see the need for £150 worth of add on box, especially when you can get a fire stick or similar for £20. The ATV 4 needs to be awesome.
EDIT: I should point out that I had ATV3, loved it but it became redundant...
Samsung Smart TV for me, loads of Apps. All the on demand stuff (iplayer, 4OD etc) Plex app (which is awesome) YouTube, blah blah blah
I can't see a need for an Apple TV anymore, it wouldn't do anything my TV can't do as far as I'm aware.
18's mate. I'll take a look at the Cup 2's. Thinking of swapping to something more winter friendly tbh. I really struggled on the PS3's last winter.
Edit: no chance i'm paying the Cup 2 prices for tyres!
Thanks to everyone that has posted recently.
Quick update:- Fitted the front shocks, top mounts, bottom arms and drop links. Tightened it up nicely. Then it was MOT time, so a couple of Saturday's ago, I get up early (MOT was @ 9am) to change the downpipe, 30 minutes later that's done and off...
To be honest, for winter there are better tyres. PS3's don't cope well with snow/ice (they are a summer tyre after all) so it depends on how much driving you want to be able to if the white stuff falls. I'm hoping to swap at least my front 2 before winter arrives.
The only time in 15 years of...
It's the thermostat. Change it for a new OE unit and it'll sit half way.
I personally put a 182 stat in my 197, but that was more due to the price difference than temperature difference.
It's fairly common for the stats to go.
Park it up and leave it - it'll be fine. (handbrake off as said)
I went to view a v cheap 2010 Fiesta yesterday that hadn't started or moved in 18 months. Started on the button (didn't buy it though - long story)
Go for a Nilfisk C130 like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006UCKWAA/?tag=cliospnet01-21
(you'll probably find it cheaper elsewhere)
I had a C110 model before, and it was great. Upgraded to the C130 and the difference was massive. Much improved snowfoam, better cleaning all round really.
I...
Is it just me that thinks theres more to it? Old clutch was slipping, new clutch fitted - still slipping, to me that points to something else causing the issue.
If it were me, i'f strip it and investigate, but I suppose it depends on your level of skills and time availablity.
I had a similar...
You must be using terrible drill bits then, or too high speed? Are you replacing the discs? If so then angle grinder to take the head off them, the disc will come off then.
Best bet would have been to use an impact driver to start with, they would have come out then without any bother.
As above really. I put 350+lb-ft through the front of my Volvo on a daily basis and get very little torque steer (It used to be a lot worse before I changed the bottom arms)
Worth looking at rack bushes, TRE's and general suspension wear IMO.
Is Virgin Media in your area? If so then that's the only choice really. Blows all other providers out of the water in terms of speed. 200mb download? Yes please.
lol - what's it like back in the dark ages?
As above, have some bolts that lock in place mechanically.
@dangerous dave
Turbo is off to remove the two snapped bolts. They sheared flush to the face of the turbo so it had to come out to be drilled and re-tapped. Wasn't a hard job to get it off, took about 2 hours to get it off.
