I've got one but didn't use it (lesson learnt), they didn't feel like they were seized, they turned fineup to a point, then they gave up! I only had a tiny 1/4 drive ratched on there too, about 6" long so it's not like I coudl put much force on them. Maybe I over tightened them last week when I...
i know that, but i've had it off 4 times in the past without a problem, just seemed odd that this time they decided to seize in such a short space of time.
I've had a bit of an issue with my car where 2 of the 3 downpipe to turbo bolts had seized and snapped off resulting in me having to remove the turbo to get them drilled out and re-tapped.
Now, these bolts had only been in for 1 week, so how they got so tight in there i've got no idea.
I've...
I personally would reuse the idler and tensioner as they are only a year old. So that leaves you needing timing belt, dephaser, camshaft end caps, top pulley bolts, bottom pulley bolt.
I'm sure others will be along shortly with a more comprehensive list, that's just what I can think of off the...
This is the reason why i always take my car for it's MOT 20 - 30 days before it runs out. At least that way even if it fails I can drive it until it's sorted. I know that doesn't help your situation but worth considering for next year.
£100 to supply and fit the Lambda is probably about right...
British Gas are releasing more products in the HIVE range later this year. Lighting, sockets, motion sensors and window/door sensors.
They'll all integrate with the HIVE thermostat and you can configure macros, so you can have lights that turn on/off with motion sensors, turn the heating on...
If you're in a rush then a second hand engine is the way to go. Rebuilding it to a good standard is not something you'll do in a day, swapping the engine out is.
Also, if you're having to ask how to take the head off, do you really have the knowledge/expertise to be doing the job? Having the...
Depends. I used to have ATV3, but sold it after buying Samsung smart TV as it has apps that I can download for everything and more than the ATV3 had.
I really can't see the need for these anymore now unless you have a none smart TV.
I waited until 21 to get anything with power. Up to then I had Corsa's, Pug 309, 4 x Mini's etc.
Just after my 21st Birthday I went and bought a Fiat Punto GT and only paid £300 a year to insure it. This was back in 2001 though.
It really is worth waiting
For what reason would you need to jailbreak?
My 3GS and 4S were jailbroken for a while, then I realised I didn't need it to be jailbroken for anything I was using it for.
Ahh - there's your issue then! Nothing you can do other than do it right this time and move on.
By do it right, i mean with the correct Renault tools, in the correct way. If you don't at best it'll be down on power, at worst those valves will be saying 'hi' to the pistons again!
The fact that the valves have hit the pistons and bent. It sounds a lot like the work they did a month ago has caused or at leaset been a factor in the engine destroying itself - therefore they should have been the first peope spoken to.
Who did the belt change?
