    What about cutting the bonnet and going for a top mounted IC like a Scooby or GTi-R? That would save a lot of hassle getting the plumbing round to the front. But you get the interwarmer effect if youre not careful. I cant wait to see how it comes along anyway Ben, keep up the good work mate. BTW...

    CO2 intercooler cooling

    What about a water spray bar in front of the IC and somehow hook it up with a high pressure line into the cabin then press the lever and the CO2 goes along the tubes and sprays the IC.

    I got mine done by a geezer in Eastwood. Just over 215 for whatever tint you want all round the sides and rear. Glass out proper job and very friendly. The firms called Flowline 2000

    There are apparently two different measurements on valvers as well. I think it was only the early ones though. Anyway, I ran Konis for 2 or 3 years, I thought they were great.

    Yeah Smurf Blues the one GR! I was trying to think what it reminded me of. Dash you got a good point there with the Elise and the V6. That sort of Lotus blue just totally puts a mid blue metallic in the shade. But its a bit too close to Imperial Blue for my liking... Im pretty much decided now...

    S13 mate. Take my advice - dont spend less than a grand, or youll end up with a lot of unexpected expense! You wont find any low milers out there, theyre all thrashed and the ones that arent are silly money. Bloody great for doing doughnuts though!

    Its possible to get 130 out of a valver but any more than that takes a bit of doing usually. Just bad aerodynamics really. Theres more revs to come but its the power that lets you get the top speeds, beyond 6250 your starting to go beyond peak power in a valver hence its difficult to get any...

    Cos thats the first thing that everyone says. I guarantee in a years time there will be a fair few valvers running around in Cup blue. I seriously thought about it myself. Its a nice colour and suits the Cup but I dont fancy it on mine.

    Welcome to the world of Renault! If its any consolation Ive got three cars that are all off the road at the moment for one reason or another - the Clio turbo for a new gearbox and clutch, the Nissan 200 for a new set of pistons and a turbo, and the Fiat for some welding to get it throught the MOT!

    Yeah that pic is what blue white come out like although mine look a little bit whiter than that. It looks wicked with the headlights on, you see a slight lightning crackle effect under the main beam.

    Chris is right. The only comparable benchmark is at the wheels, and even then you need to stick to the same RR every time and try for similar weather etc. Best way is like Ben says, test it in a different way, either round a track or up a quarter mile.

    Now this is more like it! I like that Pug colour but its just a *little* bit too green for me. The forum blue is very similar to the solid blue on the new M3 which Ive just looked at and I still like it, similar to that Audi blue as well. That Leon blue is nice but doesnt quite cut it for me...
