    I quite fancy changing mine to one, as I love raspy systems. What worries me slightly is passing a MOT with one fitted. Phil your stealth is freakish loud though ;)

    I don't see that many 1*2s around my way, let alone badly modified examples. IMO if people have changed cars on this forum, or in general due to what people think then that is a sorry state of affairs TBH.

    I am 30 and still drive a 172 (6 years of ownership) I have no intention of getting rid of the 172.

    Yes they're worth the extra money. I was a lot quicker around the track with the R888 fitted. If you're only doing a 2-3k PA then I would run a set of semi slicks all year round.

    I am running 2 sets of wheels on my 172, one set for track/ fast road (R888 atm) and one set for normal road use. IIRC you won't get much more then 5/6k out of a set of R888s.
