Engine problem? not sure what is wrong..

That sounds like lambda from memory. My ph1 did similar, felt like a misfire when warm, never happened when cold. Went through changing coil pack, leads etc made no difference. Popped code reader on and lambda came up as stores fault. No dash warning lights came up at any point.

Recaro seats - I want them!

That's what I guessed, the oe recaro frame only has holes for the specific seat supplied. Shame that new recaro's take so long to arrive!

Recaro seats - I want them!

Think I may end up ordering some recaro speeds and subframes. The side bolsters (midriff) are much more pronounced, definitely more supportive.

Recaro seats - I want them!

They're specific for the trendline, whereas the subframes you buy from recaro will fit all recaro's.

Recaro seats - I want them!

Right, after a bit of experimentation can confirm a few things. Firstly, the speed (integra seats) is definitely more comfortable than the trendline, more supportive too. Doesn't look as good though, clio trendlines with a 172 rear bench looks as oe as possible. Speed's DO NOT fit trophy...

No real need for coilovers. Koni dampers are a good upgrade imo.

If I could of found a good ph1, I'd have another. This was only on 50k when I bought it. But ph1 are definitely more fun!

    Knocking when cornering

Silly question, but what's the best way to check the bushes? Just visually? I'm assuming that if I order a new wishbone it's supplied with new bushes?

    Knocking when cornering

No, ride height sensible (I think) Driven it further. Right corners are the problem, can taken more sweeping corners easily.

    Knocking when cornering

There's a knocking/vibration under hard cornering to the left. Can feel it through the steering. Fine when travelling straight and turning right. Any suggestions?

Recaro seats - I want them!

Different people are different shapes. In contrast to Gally, I found the frp seats hideously uncomfortable (I think it's the same seat that was an option in the mini for a while). Standard seats tend to mould to fit, bucket style seats tend to be firmer, so they either fit you or they don't.

Recaro seats - I want them!

I like them. There are better seats around, but they usually look horrific (sparco etc). I've an old back injury, the recaro's in the trophy and the 200 much better than standard for lumbar support.

Recaro seats - I want them!

There's washers between the standard subframe and the car. Easy to remove, 4 bolts under the car, lift the seats and remove the plastic washers. 1/2hr job.

In terms of refinement, petrol still has an advantage. If the money doesn't matter, petrol engines are more enjoyable.

    M135i - Estoril Blue Loveliness

Of course not. The m135 isn't a hot hatch in the traditional sense, the fiesta is. Different class of car, silly point. I can't name a GTR rival for less than £25k. Doesn't mean there aren't any good performance cars for less than 25k.
