Opinion on Clio (Second of the day)

Some folk can afford the 172's, but when it comes to maintenance, they cant stump the cost of that. Tyres, replacing parts etc etc

    Slim Subwoofers

Kris you fool. Get some 17cm components. Decent ones like JL Audio. Amp for them hidden under the passenger/drivers seat. They will need to have MDF baffles made for them so they actually seal proper to the doorskin, and then some dynamat chucken the back skin and front of the door. Robert's...

Funny you should ask....... the police officer in the van that was behind the punto as he pulled out and blocked the main road, kinda assisted me. Did I feck, lol. I got my arse handed to me. Hence why I bought a cossie not long after that :)

Yeah, i wouldnt like to have a crash in my clio TBF. It would just obliterate itself. I thought that fez stood up quite well to the impact really. The punto, on the other hand, didnt. His roof was kinked up like a hosue roof, and the wing, door and rear quarter were all stoved right in. 88ft...

I attempted to "chase a cossie" down a main road in my XR2i once. 80mph, punto pulled out on me, then slammed on, blocking both lanes......... the result: I walked away unscathed, thank god.

    Subwoofer in spare wheel well??

So you think a sub screwed to a piece of MDF and just hungover a wheelwell, with no sealing or padding behind, is going to sound better than a properly sealed unit?? REALLY?

    Subwoofer in spare wheel well??

I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say? I kinda read it as you just screwed a sub to a board and laid it over your spare wheel well without sealing

    Making your own sub box?

There are sub box calculators all over the net, but depends what you want. Puncy, tight, dance-style bass = sealed box, 1cu/ft internal volume Low, rumbling bass = ported box, needs to be specific to the sub. You'd need to get all the specs from the internet for the sub, what hertz its...

ECU Remap Tune Offer £175 to take 182 to 200bph???

Pl8yer, as has been said, best things if you want to piss about enginewise are the RS Tuners. You can map your own car, then sell the unit on, meaning your remap costs you about £50-£60. Then concentrate on the bits that stick you to the road........ tyres and suspension. The car is what it...

Small(ish) new sub - recommendations please

The alpine Amp gives more room for upgrading in the future. If you just want some punch in the back, go for the active

    Subwoofer in spare wheel well??

Laura, is that box flat, or does it go into the wheel well?

Small(ish) new sub - recommendations please

£120 is a low budget TBH. Youre not gonna get anything great for that. Dance music - Get a 10" in a sealed box RnB/Hop hop - Get a 12" in a ported box Talkaudio is a good forum for getting dimensions etc etc for building boxes. I would recommend getting a new sub, but a 2nd hand amp (more...
