I've changed all the interior bulbs the white LED's ( proper white, not the shitty blue hinted type!), silver indicator bulbs all round, and some led sidelights to match the xenons.
It sure is, if it makes 280+ I'll be happy. I'm trying to keep it quiet for the wife (she doesn't know I'm tuning it!) so can't really free up the rest of the exhaust or intake, so they might hold me back a little but I'll have only sunk about £1,100 into it including the mapping so can't complain!
Evening all,
I've recently switched my Clio 197 F1 team to a Volvo S40 T5.
Sounds like an odd choice I know, but when you look at the S40 in a bit more detail it makes sense for me. We are starting a family, so a 5 door saloon makes sense, and it's the 2.5 5 pot turbo lump that ford knocked...
I was up there on Friday gettting my car RR'd before my mods get fitted. They're a great bunch of people and my car made exactly what it should have done! (217bhp & 242lb-ft) I'm heading back there in a couple of weeks after my mods and map. Hoping for 280+bhp and 330+lb-ft this time around!
I've got a little solar charger that also has a battery built in (holds enough for a couple of charges) and you can leave it int he car window etc to recharge without having to leave it atached to your phone. Paid about £12 from Lidl!
I suppose yes, but i've never really like XBMC to be honest, and on broadband the speed of mine I can download a 10gb film in a little over 10 minutes so the preparation isn't really an issue to me.
Another vote for Plex & ATV3 here. Does everything I could need. Download TV, Films etc in any format to my PC. Plex converts on the fly and I can watch on ipad, iphone, Apllte TV etc from anywhere in the world (inc over 3g etc). The interface is fantastic, it's fast, excellent quality.
What...
Morning guys,
I've just spotted my old car up for sale on Autotrader (dealers website link below)

If you do go to look at it, be aware of the following things it needs:
3 wheels need a refurb
There was a dent in the passenger rear...
No real need for lacquer. I've got a how to thread over on 197.net. It covers stripping the calipers bare (pistons and seals out etc) then preping and painting. Worth a look if you tackle it yourself.
Chris
lol I never touched the suspension on it, kept it std ride height. I think it's slightly exagerated in that picture due to the slope of the ground!
It's better on this one
Leave it in and just use some 'no nails' on the back of the wheel, that should hold it sufficiently.
I jest of course! Has it snapped off flush with the hub? If not you might be able to use a set like this to get it out http://www.screwfix.com/p/irwin-bolt-grip-nut-remover-set-5-pieces/96028...
Sounds exactly how my old Punto GT did when a lost a cam lobe (long story, bad valve guide+seized valve = rounded off cam lobe). THat too would idle fine, and would drive fairly normal until you put your foot down.
If the easy basics don't turn anything up (timing, coilpacks, plugs, injectors)...
That would require that they were all on the same electical wiring to work, I would have thought all 6 will have there own consumer units and ring mains etc.
So, I’m thinking of selling my R27. It’s a 2007 57 plate on 72,500 miles and could do with some advice around pricing etc.
It could currently do with a few quid spending on it, it needs 2 handbrake cables (well one as it's seized), a small dent in the rear quarter repairing and it has a small...
* Category A - Must be crushed. All of it.
* Category B - Vehicle may not be returned to road but parts may be sold.
* Category C - Repairable. Significant damage. Cost of the repair is more than book value of vehicle at dealer rates. - VIC test required
* Category D - Repairable. Probably...
Hmm, i'm thinking prices of F1 models seem to have risen recently. I too can't find many below the £7k mark. If that's the current going rate I think I need to get mine advertised!
Where did you do a valuation that showed £8k+? Thats early 200's money.
Are you specifically after a very low milage car? If so then you'll pay a premium (that in my eyes isn't really justified) Average mileage for an F1 would be around 50-60k now (All will be around 5+ years old now) so...
