Ive got the Hillpower pipe in Blue. Looks mint and it feels like it has a bit more torque as well, especially from 4k rpm upwards. The kick at 5k rmp feels a bit more pronounced also.
if it is between 3900 and 4200rpm in every gear it is the 4k rattle. Get it fixed under warranty, I did, new front / centre section replaced of exhaust.
Mine went in this week and had new springs and a mod from the Aktis system carried out. Sweet as sugar now, now squeaks or bangs anymore.
And it was a warranty repair, also had a new power steering pump done at the sdame time as it was leaking.
it is loud but when you get to 4k rpm and above you feel like you are ragging it round a race track and just lovin it all the way to 7k rpm ! Performance improvement is sweet too, especialy from 6k to 7k in 3rd and low down torque in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. A worth wile mod. I do agree that if...
The tyre pressure was 28psi on the fronts, and 30psi on the rears.
I checked the manual in the car , the front pressure should be 33psi on the fronts and 31psi on the back.
WRONG !!!!!
What are you doing with those tyre pressures? being front wheel drive you need more in the fronts.
try...
My rear discs were wearing as fast as the fronts because my Compensator valve was faulty. Had the valve replaced and all is fine again. Front discs will always go before the rears, especially on the CUP as the brakes are biased towards the front because of the lack of ABS.
Ask them to check...
The GDS2s or 3s are as good as it gets on the CUP - if you are still sure you want to go for the 205s then you would be best getting 40% profile as it will be much closer to the overall tyre diameter than a 205/45.
eg:
205/45 wall height = 92.25mm
205/40 wall height = 82mm
Standard...
Saw this for the 1st time on my Cup last week. thought it was probably just due to heat / condensation etc, fog on radiator being heated or whatever. decided not to worry as it was a gentle steam rather the rushing out all over the place. did make me stop, think and worry for a few seconds...
Thought you may have wrangled one of the 1st one as you have changed your personal details.
Anyway Make sure you post your thoughts when you do get it. Any date yet ?
Wow, 1 more - still more though.
Anyway all that aside:
Have you finished running in yet ?
How does it feel ?
and are you pleased with it ?
because at the end of the day that is all that really matters as it is down to personal choice.
Cant remeber (didnt buy it) but it listed the Cup and the 182 but the 172 was not included so I imagine it is a pretty much up-to-date list.
top end was listed the same at 138 mph 0-60 was 7 I think, that is only 1 tenth less than the old 172 from what I remember. Im sure Evo will do it soon...
Looked in car mag at weekend and saw the 182 is slower to 60 than the Cup - enough said, dont care about it anymore - Cup is still the fastest 4/5 seater production Clio ever rolled off the line as standard.
Mine is on the CUP. It is lound but a fair bit off unbearable. I like it, it is gentle, deep tone and noticeable round town. Open it up on the motorway and it screams throught the gears like a bat out of Hell. Constant cruising on the motorway is a bit boomy, but as I said before tolerable...
I run F1s GSD2s at 35 front, 31 rear. gave them 200miles to scrub the rears in before I was able to push it hard again. Felt better than the contis in wet the day I fitted them.
Ive been running Mobile 1(0/40) for over 1k miles now with no probs. Engine sounds sweet and it hasnt needed topping up yet and I drive it quite hard.
Whats with the too thin comments ? Surely it is good to have the oil thin at low temperatures so it gets round the engine quicker on start...
