Didn't even know there was a thread on this.
Coming along nicely - although I suspect you will 'do a jim' and sell it within 6 months, because you forgot to budget for council tax or something.
Dunno.
On a completely non-related topic, there is a blyton park javelin day this sunday and a few clios are there. I think Nige is also there, but not in the golf, by the looks of it.
Yes, I have been called this in the past, but thats not the sole reason for this question.
When boosting an engine (thats not originally a turbo engine from the factory) I have seen that: retarding the ignition timing will keep the engine safe.
What does this mean? Why must the ignition be...
Quick, let's all raise our bonnets to let that hot air escape when we are sat in traffic.
I stated they are a myth - in performance terms, I must apologise for not defining that.
You are wanting to help your under bonnet temps when sitting at traffic lights - I didn't know that. Good on you...
The high pressure air at the windscreen will not cause the engine air to magically jump out.
It will be sucked down the bulkhead by the low pressure running under the car.

Fingers crossed, both Kenneth and I, will be trying Blyton this Sunday - for an afternoon jaunt.
Seen a PH1 for sale in Garforth, Leeds. after seeeing your photos, it makes me moist. I...
There's no lever. Cups don't have them. He added one, but removed it again after it did jack all.
As the Swedish man said there is a manual adjustment. The locking nut is solid yet the Allen key thing can move. Tried it fully up and fully out - no difference.
With the nut being stuck it has to...
The guy before me fitted the coilovers to mine, but its evident 'some' of the front arch lining has been 'trimmed'. Depends how low you've gone.
Pic of the bracket?
Tried it. It's as if the block/box thing is faulty. Using the Allen key or lever makes zero difference!
Is there a way of blanking or disabling the rear brakes? Even pikey style?
Right,
New caliper - same thing.
Wound the Allen key thing on the compensator and same thing.
Track day is tomorrow.
How can we just turn off the rears?!
