Clio 200 59 plate seemingly big problems.

Its a long shot but you could try turning it off.. then on again? Alot of the time this cures a range of anomalies for me.

Clio 200 59 plate seemingly big problems.

It wont be engine mounts. At best i'd say its a combination of clutch, throw out bearing and cracked exhaust. Failing gearbox usually presents itself as a grinding between gears.

    Cambelt advice

I suspect the belt would last longer than the tensioner and idlers.

    Anyone going on long drives?

It made sense for me as i'd let my policy renew at a silly price. Also they let me off the cancellation fee which was a bonus. So in 3 months i'll re-insure the car at nearly half the price.

    Diagnosing a noise

That doesn't sound like the noise a failing PAS pump makes. Certainly sounds like somethings loose though, ive had a number of bolts back themselves out in that area.

    172 Road legal track car

Are you fitting a battery cut off switch? Just read this about lithium batteries "These batteries are mainly for track/ race vehicles for weight reduction and their cold crank rating, they are also known to be fitted to some vehicles that are only used for leisurely drives but where the...

    My New Clio 182

As already said don't focus on increasing bhp as it just won't happen unless you throw bulk amounts of cash at it. Focus on improving the brakes, suspension, tires. Those wheels weigh a ton you'll notice a huge difference going to a set of light weight 15's

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

Every 4 years the return from mining bitcoin is halved due to the complexity of the equations needed to produce a bitcoin doubling. Historically this is met with 12 months of steady accumulation and then a period of parabolic goodness! The Cardano i have is currently worth £1900 which is better...

The job requires special tooling to complete the task correctly. I would expect a competent mechanic to be able to complete the task fairly easily.

    Modifications

I’ve modified every car I’ve ever owned at least to some degree. As an enthusiast I enjoy maintaining and modifying and over the years I’ve become quite handy with a spanner. I enjoy fixing friends cars, I’ve done 3 head gaskets for nothing more than the cost of the parts. So yes do alter your...
