Clio 182 needs a few bits!

  Clio 182
I've recently bought a Clio 182 and theres a dent in the bonnet and rain leaks in on the drivers side! Therefore I will be fixing these problems..

My question is will the door seals, windscreen seals and bonnet be the same as any Clio of that year or specific to a 182? Before I start ordering stuff..

Also whilst I am here.. could somebody help in identifying the model (FF, cup etc) from the pictures? This is my first Clio & I cant find definite answers online. The cars also got cruise control if that helps..

Any help will be massively appreciated!

Cheers, Rhys.

Cruise control and aircon were not fitted to CUP models

Trophys had trophy on the side and only came in limited colours.

Looks like you have a standard 182.

Bonnet seals i know are not specific to the RS models as i ordered a new front bonnet seal for my 172 and it was just a clio bonnet seal

The windscreen seals however usually are model specific however though the model for you would just be renault sport as its 172 and 182 windscreen seals afaik,

door seals shouldnt be model specific other than being CLIO door seals.

If you need part codes etc then browse on here for them or pop on to RENAULT PARTS DIRECT website for the correct part codes and if not purchasing an OEM product it should tell you what part code it replaces.

So to recap

Your clio is a 182 not a cup or a trophy which basically is an FF clio 182 (full fat which means it has electric windows, AC, Cruise Control etc)

Looks like a 182 with at least one of the cup packs, as it has the cup spoiler.
Measuring the front shock bolt spacing (60mm) would confirm if its FF or not.

Cheers for all that! Loads of info, love the community that comes with this car & yeah from what I've found out it has a cup spoiler.. hence the confusion, I dont think I was clear with part of my question I meant the actual bonnet as apposed to the bonnet seals!

Cheers.

The bonnet is the same throughout the Mk2 Phase 2 range. Tbh a dent man will probably be able to get your dent out. So, say £50 versus replacing the bonnet & getting it sprayed, or trying to find one in the same colour hoping the paint matches.

I would say in my opinion that yours has a cup spoiler pack but not suspension pack so isn’t a full fat. The wheels look to into the arches for the suspension pack to be fitted.

There were 2 cup packs :
1 being the front splitter and cup spoiler.
2 being anthracite wheels and slightly lower ( 3mm ) ,stiffer suspension.
Yours looks to have both going by your pics. Of course the wheels could have been changed so measuring the bolt spacing as said above will tell you for definite.

Yea it's a 182 with both Cup packs aka FF or full fat

182 Cup came with cloth interior and didn't have xenon lights or headlight washers

Yeah this has half leather (or pleather?) & alcantara seats they're pretty nice. Anybody know value of these models of 182? Internets pretty vague & alot of other adverts for 182s dont specify.. bought this off my mate & he didnt have a clue, pretty sure I got an absolute bargain, looking forward to making it immaculate & most likely keeping it for a while.. has 92k on clock.

92k decent condition
Serviced regularly
Cambelt changes and aux belt changes done when needed etc.
£1.5k-£2.5k condition dependant.

Do you know about the cambelt and dePhaser water pump etc that’s required on these engines at regular intervals?

for a specialist garage to do the work using all the correct tools etc so they don’t balls up the timing of your F4R engine is around £400-£700 every5 years or 72k miles.

Just something to bare in mind especially if you don’t know how old your cambelt is on the car.

I think it was done at 72k but need to have a look through the paper work that came with the car. Part of me wants to strip it out and make it a track car & part of me wants to make it nice 😂

It’s 72k or 5 years whichever comes first.

So if your Clio is 54 reg for example it should have had 3 cambelt changes by now.

coming from a guy that garaged his Clio for nearly a decade and then fixed it back up to road worthy theyre really fun cars for the road.

It might be one of those - is that the stuff that glues the windscreen to the bodywork? I'd suggest changing one seal at a time to see if the leak stops before you have to buy more parts (y)
