Are you an 05 plate Dave? I was also heading north on the M1 yesterday and saw an 05 plate racing blue with the stripes about then... I was in my escort, having been to meet EK05 YTO to collect my new prospeed exhaust!
I quite like this - and I think it may work a lot like the megane did.. Thought that was terrible when it first came out (couldnt stand the big booty!), and its slowly but surely grown on me since - especially after I had a 1.9dci scenic hire car the other week and realised how much better...
My escort had new tyres about 12 months ago - dont think all the beads are quite right - 2 of them tend to go from 35 to 15psi over the course of about 6-7 weeks. Should have got them refitted, but its a bit late now - just means that I have to remember to check regularly...
Definitely agree that the guy was driving pretty terribly... really wouldnt want him behind me, and take the point about kids in the car...
Was really just thinking had it been me in his shoes (well, I wouldnt have been tailgaiting, but you get the idea) I would have been gutted that he hadnt...
Very true - although he was only doing that after being behind the Beemer for a good while, and the copper eventually letting him past. My point really was that Im not condoning the way he reacted in any way - he did drive like a prat, but had the copper identified himself as an unmarked car...
I have to say, I thought a ban was a bit OTT for the guy in the clio - as if the copper had pulled over earlier, he would have had a due care and attention (and they passed an exit - so his excuse of nowhere safe to pull him didnt really wash!) so probably 6 points max, as it was the guy in the...
Was looking at scoobys on the web last night - if anyones interested, motorpoint seem to have a load of WRXs at £15599 (although Subaru dealers have the free PPP at the minute too!). Mate just bought a new black WRX from them and I have to admit it did look nice...
Thanks for all the advice - Hadnt realised about scratch X breaking down - had just assumed I needed to go to something finer to finish...
The links definitely show the effect Ive got - think Ill try several applications of Scratch-X this weekend and really work it in properly, and if that...
Mine did the same after a couple of thousand miles - I didnt bother going to Renault - just stuck a nut and bolt through the hole with a couple of massive washers, which has held it up fine ever since...
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the replies folks - looks like machine polish time then, what products would folks recommend to use? One thing I didnt mention earlier was that even scratch-X seemed to mark the paint - leaving scrapes in the laquer (not swirls - it was applied properly!!!) but these did then polish...
My missus drives the clio to work, and used to park near a tree :@, which resulted in a fair bit of bird residue on there (always cleaned off quickly after). I came to clean the car for FCS and even after clay bar, a couple of goes with scratch X, polish, sealant and carnbuba there are still...

No, it was definitely Yoz providing Ownage! (until the red 306 turned up, eh!);)
Just got my pictures off the camera, and this is a definite favourite...

its been developed as we speak, should be ready very soon, we still need to test it
Excellent - Ill look forward to hearing about it once its ready...
I think its definitely true about good and bad folks with chipsaway - bloke at work has a brand new Golf GTi, which got a big car park scrape within 3 days of him buying it... Chipsaway came to fix it for him, and the first guy in fact made it worse, adding scratches :o, have since seen a second...

Cool, is there any chance there might be a Yozzasport system for the 182 in the near future? If so, I would definitely be interested...
Cheers,
Gaz

Yeah did sound ace, think Yoz runs a supersprint race exhaust.
Cheers Mate,
After Sunday, I realised I really need something a bit more meaty on the 182, so looking for options...
Well - definitely didnt do that by halves! Amazed there wasnt more drama, or a bang when that let go!!
Look forward to hearing about the specs of the new lump though - maybe next year youll manage to pass that 306!
Yoz - by the way, what exhast do you have on there, as it was sounding...
Got back a while ago - great day, and great to be able to meet some folks in person.
Thanks also to everyone involved in organising the day for us - the stand looked really good - and had a great selection of motors on it!
Hope Yoz manages to get the cup running soon - it was sounding...
Sorry to hear youre going W & K,
Ive not been a member long, but have picked up a lot from being around (tend to read much more than I post!). This is a great club, lets not lose it!
I think the stand and turnout at FCS this weekend will bear testament that this is more than just a forum...
Superb photoshop - think Ive got some serious learning to do!
Looking good - this is kind of what were aiming for (going to be looking for cage and buckets at FCS, interior is stripped and painted ready). Have got a set of 1.9GTi alloys for it - to be refurbed in either white or silver...

Nice! Could this be a project of Tim Westwood and his Cru? The flames are cool - unfortunately theres now no interior in it for the TVs and fish tanks to go...
I got a flash of inspiration last night, and thought Id go for the 307WRC look (its red and a motorsport pug!) so had a play on photoshop... Its not the best photoshop ever, but gives the idea... Will look good with the stripped ready to (eventually) have a cage installed...
What do folks...
As they say at McDs - Im lovin it! The checks are simple and stylish.... Am getting some ideas now!
Wheels looking good too (just put a set very similar to that on ebay too, pity theyre alfa fitting!)
Cheers for the comments - were working on making it a beast - getting it to drive right and be a good track motor first, then we might think about making it quicker (did I hear anyone say MI16:devilish: ?!)
Basically at the moment its a bit of a plaything, which is nice!
I thought graphics...
Ive just bought a 205GTi as a track toy, and wondered if any of the resident photoshop wizards fancy giving it the racer look with some race decals?
The body on it is nice and tidy, but I reckon itll just stand out that bit with a few graphics, to complement the stripped look the interior now...
Ive just bought a 205GTi with my brother for just this purpose - is an F-plate 1.6 in good standard condition with a vast wad of history for the princely sum of £750 with a spare set of 1.9GTi alloys. Were already craking on with it - it now has no interior (or even headlining) and weve painted...
