Good news mate - thats one thing about the paint on the 182, being very soft, it marks easily - but you can get those marks out with some work!
Now go out, get it run in and enjoy it!
I was sat in my 182 yesterday in Ashbourne when a older, well to do looking couple appeared and parked right up close to me in their 318i, and she proceeded to swing her door straight into my car :@- then looked at me like a piece of sh*t when I got out of the car to check my door (cos I was in...
One of the reasons I like the 172/182 because of the lack of OTT styling really (apart from the twin pipes on the 182, of course!) - its nice and subtle looking, so people only see a little clio until it dissappears into the sunset...
When you compare to a lower model it looks subtly...
Sounds good - arent they having a massive heatwave in Virginia at the moment? Certainly beats the grey rainy view Ive got from my window at the moment!
Hope all goes well for you!
So where in the US you off too (sorry, missed it!) I was in Cleveland for 3 months before Xmas, and had a great time (although spent the time driving a Kia Optima )
Enjoy it - Im sure youll not miss the clio too much when youve got a nice big yank tank to play in (has to be either a...
Motorpoint... then added a decent alarm ;)
Was a bit cheaper, didnt have to wait (when there were 8+ week waits for 182s) and Derby dealer didnt want to talk discount at all...
Afraid not mate - just did the anchor Thurs. (and was in brothers iceberg 172)...
I live in Belper - so nice and local...
Theres an identical black 182 to mine on an 04 at the bottom of my road (hes not quite as loud though !)
Mine creaks when its warm inside from around the steering column shround... Could this be it? Gets very annoying, but am waiting for a list of things before it goes in!
Yeah. saw the hummer although he left early... guess he probably had to get to a petrol station on the way home lol;)! Nah, seriously theyre cool motors - although more suited to US roads!
Im up there most weeks at the mo, and seen a few other clios around recently - we should probably try to...
I definitely tink its the colour that makes the wheels look so chunky (although I"ve seen very few non-cupped ones TBH!), on black especially, although I also think silver with the cup wheels gives a great contrast too, and inferno would just look odd with silver wheels!
Cup suspension is...
182 now on 5800, and feels good ( or will do when I stop the exhaust blowing!) although I drove my brothers 172 the other day (18000 miles, 04 plate) and it felt so much looser and willing to rev, even on a fairly steady run...
Saw a black dynamique tonight going past the Anchor in Oakerthorpe with lots of multicoloured neons under it, and a big cliosport sticker in the back window.. Assume it was nightfire, as I think youre in the area?
We in my brothers 172, having a few drinks out the front of the pub...
Am not a...
Mine does this, seems more jumpy when cold now the prospeeds on too (maybe its just that I can hear it popping and growling more with the zorst though...)
Looks good - saw a super low mark 2 golf with the same look earlier - looked cool, but his wheels were rusty and knackered, which spoilt the look quite a lot!!!
Ronals look mint too though...
Id also recommend motorpoint... The only downside I had was having to hound them for ages to finally get a service book for it, which was eventually sorted...
I would recommend prospeed - Ive got a 2nd hand system on my 182, which is blowing between the cat and exhaust (I used the renault clamp which doesnt seal the join perfectly), so I phoned Charlie the other day, who was very helpful, and is sticking me a new clamp in the post to sort it out...
Thats looking mint mate - I think the 17s look mean, but agree that a set of smaller wheels will probably suit it better, itll also make it that touch more subtle... Turinis will look cool...
You want to go to prospeed
http://www.pro-speedexhausts.comwww.pro-speedexhausts.com - based in cardiff and highly regarded on here. Ive just put a second hand one on my 182 and its great!!!
Ive had some messing around in Derby too - eventually went to Ilkeston - is a service centre only and they were much more helpful!
Might be worth giving them a go...
Really the main reason that most modern oils are going to 0W/ and 5W/ is down to fuel economy benefits...
Part of many approval specifications (including those for most major OEMS) are fuel economy tests where an engine is run under a prescribed cycle and must better a reference fluid by a...
Go for the prospeed - you wont regret it! Just put a secondhand one on my 182 which I bought from the forum, and it looks and sounds great. Also looks properly made - all the brackets are very solid and everything fits just right...
Might be worth looking whats in the for sale forums though -...
Got this on my escort... (didnt have a picture handy so nipped over to newreg.com!

Need one for the clio now... Have seen some options, although I saw that B120WNN was up the other week for £15K :o. Glad I only paid £400 for mine!
Looking good - guess the interior shot is giving the best idea of how the colour looks normally? Would like to see some pics in daylight!
Hope youve rememebered to turn off the passenger airbag though, otherwise a shunt could have the worlds fastest pair of clios head for someones bonce:p!!!
Know what youre saying here Roy, the 182 is definitely a performance bargain!
I fitted my prospeed exhaust last night, and think I woke up half the county on my way home at 11pm last night! Now its got more than enough bark to match its bite! (Seems pretty damn loud to me, and thats without...
I think part of the thing with the stig not getting round clarkson in the caddy was the fact the clarkson was leading all the way - not easy to get past when youve got JC doing massive powerslides in front of you and weaving to block him getting round - will be easier to hold the position when...
Looking good W3eeb!
I remember talking to you at FCS about exhausts - really like the slash cut pipes (we were parked next to you). Bet it sounds great too!
I have also been tempted and bought the prospeed system (with decat) from that was for sale on here, and picked it up yesterday -...
