Sort the rust and spray it satin black with some naughty rattle cans. Much easier to repaint if you have a sight seeing moment whilst on track lol.
I never understand why people blow £0000's of pounds on silly parts for their track cars that fundimentally make no real difference, all you need...
Bit of a tough one really, one thing I dont understand is why you'd want to spend £3500 on the prep, welding and painting of the car, only to go and lash it round a track/hillclimb. If it's a show car you want then fair do's, if its a fun car you want keep it tidy but dont blow shitloads of...
It was standard, until around 24 hours ago when the 428's went in :)
It really is an absolute minter, he's spent quite a lot of time going round the car making sure everything is perfect, it drives brand new and hasnt got a single rattle, which is a strange feeling when driving a clio lol
I think I'm in a good place to comment here as I've owned a ph1, cup, trophy and now the 182 FF.
The one which has the best all round day to day package is the 182 FF, the lack of abs is ok in the cup but tbh unless you drive like a clown, you're never going to tell the difference.
The trophy...
Yep I'm up for this, I'd say the most central 'meeting point' would be the ok diner, actually peterlee is about slap bang in the middle of teeside/newcastle etc but there's no decent places to meet around here
Bold statements all round, I'd say that one of the best cups is sat outside my house, the owner (my brother) doesnt bother with forums though ;)
Isnt this the one that didnt make good power on cams due to compression issues? Either way it looks good
Spotted this W5 ONY overtaking me earlier, excuse the title lol mega typo, had H.I.D's and an ayrton senna decal on the back, looked a nice car.
I was in the BG 182
Chris, Is there any benefit of having more than say 2 coats of wax on the car? Surely thats going to be a b**ch to remove whenever the time comes that you want to correct it lol.
I think I've got some carbon left so might attack the BG with it, I've also got some Creme, not sure how that will...
If you're stuck lecky, I've got a full injector rail here that 100% works, so if you need it you've got my number, I also have everything else it could possibly be, including a new engine ;)
Didnt realise dans car was such a dog, if that cracked disc is on the n/s/r then I ended up spending 3 hours removing the burnt on brake dust off the rear wheel.
I've got a pair of 172 cup hubs with bottom arms and discs still attached.
Man I need to get back in the detailing lingo, half of those names there I've never heard of, although tbh I've never bothered correcting/detailing in a while, now I've got the BG 182 its got to be a must before FCS
Just for reference, my stripped cup weighed in at 970 kg's with around 10-15 kg's of fuel in it. it still had the air-con in it aswell so knock another 20kg's off there.
Its possible to get the cups without aircon down to 920kgs without too much hard work
