Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project Finally got the hubs finished today, all good and miles easier to change wheels :) Heres how I did it... Start with two well used 172 hubs that have been machined down to fit my setup (4mm off the shock mounting face)... Press (or hammer) the stub...

If your using the Mk1 clocks you have to add a 'pull up' resistor (10k to 12v) otherwise the revs show half... Other wiring may be because your loom is a Ph2 or Ph2.5, I dont even know what variant mine is (that the guide works from), although adams dash worked etc... Time to get the multimeter...

Ah so its the head that physically holds them in place with force downwards, interesting! He already did once... I doubt he will do it again after going back to the C1J lol.

I doubt il ever buy new R888's, if you know where to look and spend enough time doing it you can get half/part work R888's really really cheap, the last lot I got I paid £10/tyre (205/50/15 GG) that were still just road legal, ive done two trackdays on them and there is still plenty left!

You'l be very lucky TBH. I tried to do a group buy on 17 pairs of R888's (GG 195/50/15), so 34 tyres in total. The best Demon Tweeks and Camskill could do was a few quid under £100 each!
